Welcome back to Yellowstone National Park, as the Animals of the National Park Photography Competition continues! Maverick the Moose wants NOTHING to do with the competition. In fact, he wants nothing to do with ANYTHING or ANYONE besides himself. He’s a loner and wants to keep it that way. After a run in with Slinky the Caterpillar, he finds himself face to face with another small creature. Will he run away again? Could anything convince him to join in the competition? Join me as we learn about the competition from a Beetle named Flicker and meet some of the other park animals. Then, join me several times over the next two months as we follow different animals on their journey to attempt to win the competition. It’s time for something special, friends! Over the next couple of months, we’re going to be ‘on location’, a field trip of sorts, visiting a national park in our stories. There’s a competition going on among the animals of the national park to see which ones can attract the most visitors and have their photo taken the most! And while we get to watch them compete for a prize, we’re going to do the same!!

That means…it’s CONTEST TIME!

If you would like to enter the contest, pick an animal you would find in a national park, use your imagination to come up with a way that animal might attract visitors and get its photo taken. Then, use your creativity to show me your idea. As long as you can send it to me through email or Facebook, you can use any format you’d like (drawing, digital art, acting, sculpting, writing, singing, etc).

The deadline for this competition is July 31, 2025. And the winning family will receive:

1) A Ms. Adventure’s Treehouse sticker

2) The opportunity to be a character on an upcoming podcast

Rebel and Bandit LOVED to take things that didn’t belong to them. The raccoon best friends stole snacks and balls and anything else they could get their paws on from unsuspecting campers. When they find a beehive, Rebel chooses to steal the bee’s honey as well. Will her misbehavior continue to go unnoticed, or will she be punished by the bees? Fidget, an anxious and fearful groundhog, is afraid of many things, but especially of shadows. And particularly his own shadow when he’s trying to sleep at night. One day he meets an opossum and learns what she does when she’s afraid. Will her method of dealing with fear help Fidget? Is there another way that our friend can overcome his fear? Join us as we learn how to overcome fear even in the face of bad things. How does God help His people when we're afraid?

Seth, a polar bear made out of snow, awakens for the first time, realizing that he is alive! But how? How did he come to be? Join us as Seth tries to figure out where he came from and who those two energetic little people are running around him. Along the way, we’ll learn about how we are God’s intricate, LOVED creation AND how He, through Jesus, offers to bring us to life!

Claire, the youngest of Mable’s chickens, thinks she is too old for a bedtime. To help her get to sleep, Nugget, the rooster, tells her a bedtime story, an old legend, about his grand-hen who was known for laying golden eggs. Claire, who hasn’t laid an egg of her own yet, decides that she will follow in Nugget’s grand-hens ways, even if that means disobeying Mable’s directions and her other chicken friend, Francine’s, wise advice. Will her disobedience get her lost, in big trouble, or even worse? Join us to find out and to learn about God’s grace and His pursuit of us, even when we choose to go our own way.

Blanche and Willow, branches of Jacob’s magical vine, continue to grow musical fruit. But other branches start to wither and get cut off because they aren’t drinking from vine. Blanche, now bearing a baby branch, begins to worry that it will not produce fruit and will be pruned from Vine as well. What can she do to save her precious little vine? Join us to find out what happens with Blanche’s baby branch. And what will come of all of their musical fruit? Along the way, we’ll learn more about our role in producing spiritual fruit as we follow Jesus.
