In this episode we talked about hot chicken and the only thing hotter than hot chicken, nuclear fallout. That’s right we made our way into Dave’s Hot Chicken to ask about a menu item that many employees didn’t even realize existed in the first place but worry not dear listener, Adam did manage to get the special meal and it’s very special toy.

But here’s the thing, he doesn’t even want the dang thing. He learned that he could sell it on eBay for a cool $20 and there before I knew it there was an Adam-shaped cloud of smoke right next to an Adam-shaped hole in the wall where he ran to go to the nearest computer and list it. In the process we all discovered the burgeoning market of selling chicken mcnuggets that don’t look like regular chicken nuggets but also don’t really look like anything else. What was I talking about again? Oh yeah, Fallout!

Maybe I can buy a copy of Fallout if I sell enough weird-looking mcnuggets that I tell people look like Walton Goggins. Maybe I can buy a copy of a Dave’s Hot Chicken sandwich if you leave us a review!

There was, once upon a time, a podcast not far from a big city. A road ran through, but there were only a few episodes. A Jack in the Box episode, a Denny’s episode, a Jolibee episode. And all kinds of Burger King episodes. Vagrants, run away teens, religious fanatics, retired seniors who, well, it was a podcast for those who wanted to be left alone. And so they listened.

Good job narrator Tom Waits! In this episode we compared a humble candy bar to a humble student film…wait, you’re telling me this isn’t a student film? Well, fine, be pedantic. This first time film from a new filmmaker…wait, this movie was made by the guy who made THE GODFATHER!?!

That’s just a new episode of the Moons Over My Hammy podcast, cute little guy ain’t he? You’d like to take him home with you? Well, of course, of course, you seem like fine enough folks. Ten episodes? Of a show where they compare a movie to a sandwich or whatever? Hey, man! That’s uncalled for! I seem to remember a video game series turned manga turned anime turned movies about a bunch of animals that are just like other animals but they can fight and stuff. There’s also like over a thousand of them! Come back to us when there’s over a thousand episodes of this thing and we’re now comparing Kentucky Fried Chicken to Kentucky Fried Movie…Wait, that’s actually a pretty good one. Forget what I just said.

There’s a brand new line of beverages at Kung Fu Tea to promote the launch of the latest Pokemon game so you know Adam and Andrew had to get in for a taste. While they may not be comparing the drinks to the game that they’re meant to promote, this game takes like 30 hours to beat, they are comparing it to a certain well received Pokemon film. Can you solve the mystery of which one? I hope so because it’s in the title of the episode.

Andrew attempts to stump Adam with Pokemon trivia and they tackle their first attempt at a brand new segment, Food News (hopefully better name incoming eventually! What can I say about Stranger Things? It’s a little cheesy, the acting is a bit hammy, and the finale is kind of half baked.

What can I say about the Stranger Things Frozen Pizza? It’s a little cheesy, the toppings are a bit hammy, and I did make sure to fully cook it so the joke doesn’t fully work.

This week we both definitely remembered that the Stranger Things finale released and so we (again, the both of us) watched it to compare it to a line of frozen pizzas that they inexplicably decided to release to celebrate the occasion. What did we (both of us for sure) think of the finale? What did we think of the pizza? And why oh why do I keep feeling the need to specify that we both watched this dang finale in time for this recording?

Also we have our first repeat game as Food or Faux makes it return to the airwaves with an all new Stranger Things edition. Can you believe we did a Stranger Things edition of this game? How many Stranger Things themed snacks could there possibly be?

It’s finally here! The last episode where we talk about the Burger King Monster Menu! Good riddance and we’ll probably eat it again later this year. What was the difference in the Jack O Lantern Whopper? Well, funny you should ask, much like most of the BK Monster Menu this burger has a tiny aesthetic tweak, the orange bun. No pumpkin patty, no pumpkin sauce, no pumpkin seed bun, no melted candle cheese, just an orange bun with a bit of extra chew to it.

So what could we possibly compare to this subpar fast food menu item with some cool looking tweaks? A subpar horror movie with some cool looking effects! That’s right, we’re talking about Pumpkinhead! Now don’t burn us alive for five minutes straight like the opening credits of the 76 minute long Pumpkinhead for this take, we both liked it! Stan Winston is the king of 80’s monsters but he should stick to special effects!

Which will win out? The burger patty with a rubbery bun or the movie with a rubbery monster? We’re also both aware that there are several movies called Jack-O-Lantern but they all looked very bad and one of them is actually called Jack-O so who looks dumb now?? And HalloWHOWILLWIN the first game of HallWHOween???

So I’ve been playing a lot of the video game Death Stranding lately and in that game there’s a guy named Deadman who’s made of approximately 70% dead guy parts. Well you’ll never believe it, that Deadman guy directed a movie! A few of them in fact. And one of those movies happens to be about a guy who’s made of approximately 100% dead guy parts.

This week Adam and Andrew are heading back into the Burger King Monster Menu to dig up the Franken-Candy Sundae and compare it to Guillermo del Toro’s latest release, Frankenstein. Will we be saying "IT’S ALIVE…and a good movie.” or will we be saying “IT’S DELICIOUS…and a good food.” Also Andrew pitches Adam a few new food concepts that a certain plumber may enjoy in the first edition of Foodventions.
