In his book, Fake Christianity: 10 Traps of an Inauthentic Faith (and How to Avoid Them), Dr. Jed Coppenger highlights the subtle hypocrisies that undermine authentic faith, such as prayerlessness, gossip, bitterness, and inattention to the Bible. Dr. Coppenger also points to poor church attendance, lack of evangelism, and various forms of ungodliness as issues which contribute to a weakened witness for both Christians and the church.
