Vocation is not about prestige but about doing the task before you as an act of service. Whatever we do, we can do it with excellence and integrity that reflects God. It doesn’t matter if we are a plumber, a stay-at-home parent, or a pastor. It doesn’t matter if we are retired or working multiple jobs just to make ends meet. This week we shift from the theological background to the practices of living out a sent vocation. Paying attention to our gifts and desires along with the needs around us helps us to hear God’s calling on our lives.
