  • Bonus Bonus BONUS Pod - NDSU To FBS Is Nearing Reality
    Feb 7 2026
What a week! As we debuted the MonDak Football Show earlier this week, we anticipated publishing one weekly episode. But three shocking news items all happened after our first episode, making for three bonus pods.
The latest news hit late Friday night and could create seismic shifts in the FCS.
NDSU football is nearing a move to the FBS and the Mountain West.
According to Yahoo Sports, the Mountain West is in serious talks with NDSU for the Bison to join as a football-only member starting this coming season. NDSU plays its Olympic sports in the Summit League, which wouldn’t be impacted by an FBS football-only move. According to Ross Dellenger, Mountain West presidents have recently agreed to extend an invitation to NDSU. However, it would come with a steep entrance fee that could be in the eight figures. The figure has been a subject of negotiation over the last several days.
