“Mommy Is In The Trees”

Two different couples are murdered in the woods of western Washington in 1985. Ruth Cooper and Stephen Hankins left their home in Tacoma, WA for a weekend of camping. They never returned home. They were found murdered in southern Pierce County. Then four months later another couple was killed in the same area. While their daughter had been abandoned 30 miles north in a store parking lot. The female victims were both found with tube socks tied around the necks. Was this the work of an unknown serial killer? Or was perhaps one of the deceased the killer?
