Biblical waiting is active, hopeful expectation rather than passive frustration, as beautifully lived out by Simeon and Anna—who waited decades in the temple with faith and finally met the infant Jesus, recognizing Him as God’s promised salvation for all nations—and challenges us to wait on God the same way this Christmas, clinging to Christ alone and eagerly sharing the life-changing news that the Savior has come.
