Minisode 4: Craft Cocktails - Tequila Sunrise

Welcome to minisode #4! Today, our craft topic is Craft Cocktails, and we're going to take you through a tequila sunrise. The recipe is below if you want to follow along as we make it and discuss the magical properties of all the ingredients!

Recipe

1 ½ oz tequila (pour in bottom of glass) – Made from the agave plant, carries the energy of rejuvenation

4 oz orange juice with 1 Tablespoon lemon (top the tequila) – Citrus brings a refreshing and invigorating energy from the sun. Inhale the scent and imagine this energy filling the glass as you pour in the juice. (Note: sometimes I add lime juice instead as I love the quieter, gentler energy and flavor of lime.)

1 oz grenadine (slowly added so it trickles to the bottom) – As you add the grenadine, imagine new ideas and inspiration mixing with the bright energy. (The pomegranate in grenadine contains the energy of abundance, blessings, spiritual awakening, new beginnings.)

Before drinking, there are a couple of other things you can do to up the punch of your magic.

1. Draw the symbol of the sun above the glass using your wand or finger—your nature given wand. (Circle with a dot in the middle.) Visualize this sun energy amping up the spell.
2. Add citrine to your spell. Citrine is a powerful crystal for re-energizing and inspiring positivity. You can literally drop it in the glass (just don’t choke on it FFS) or hold it in your hand while you make and drink your “potion.”
