    Life rewards those of us who are willing to keep going when the times get tough. No matter how many times we feel like we’ve been unlucky, we’re still ready to try one more time. This is the key to beating the the victim mindset that once controlled you.

    If you feel like you’ve held the victim mindset before, you’re not alone. We’ve all had these days and thoughts. But now that you know what it means for your future, you’re ready to overcome it.

    The key to beating the victim mindset and creating a positive mindset one, is forgiveness and letting go of the past, managing your reactions even in uncontrollable situations, and taking action day after day. We can’t always control what happens to us, but we can control our response and reaction.

I stumbled upon a great Tedx Talk by Susannah Winters, "Self Care: What Really Is" Self-care defined in a way that is actually practical. Putting your toes in the mud.

    Self-care restores physical health, mental health, and your overall well-being. Who would have thought the actual self-care that takes zero effort is just breathing, moving, and taking your socks off!
