Perhaps a less well-known treat for us this week, as I take a look back at Wayne Kramer's Vegas-set 'The Cooler', which despite a trinity of fantastic character performances and a mesmerising story, was never really rewarded the success it deserved.

We're not yet quite at the dawn of the MCU, but we are thick in the beginnings of the Comic book movie boom, with Sam Raimi's pitch-perfect take on everybody's favourite web-slinger, which paved the way for a series which is still going from strength to strength today!

This Ain't No Chick Flick! But it is one of Aardman's finest animations, and a particular favourite of my family; which is why, for the first time ever I have two very special guests on the pod- my own daughters and Chicken Run Super Fans Rose & Adele! It's nearly Xmas, so what better time to put on a great family movie and enjoy each other's company!

Possibly my favourite comedy movie of all time, tonight I'm taking you back to 1998's "BASEketball", in which the director of Naked Gun and the stars of South Park combine for a hilarious take on the tropes of Sports movies and create comedy gold!

Another cracking film this week, as we look at the fantastic "hitman goes back to his old hometown to attend his High School reunion and face the girl he left behind" movie Grosse Pointe Blank. This unlikely premise was the recipe for an absolutely beautiful story, so well made and perfectly pitched! Check it out!
