We’ve all heard the phrase ‘that kind of thing doesn’t happen in our town’, but here on Midwest Murder, we will shatter that false reality. In fact, it happens more often than we know, and sometimes the details of the most horrific crimes that happen in our neighborhoods are lost in the back pages of newspapers, forgotten on our news channels, and eventually erased over time.© 2026 Midwest Murder Biografías y Memorias Ciencias Sociales Crímenes Reales Política y Gobierno

I'd pretty much quit most true crime podcasts when I did a search for Midwest podcasts & found this one. I LOVE Dawn's voice and diction! I also adore her corrections of Jonah, which are always exactly what I'm thinking at the time.
Love this show!

One of My Top True Crime Podcasts

Dawn and Jonah were born to make this show. Their chemistry is amazing. I would listen to them if they were reading a recipe , but boy, am I glad it's a true crime podcast. They are funny, North Dakota down to earth. I have tried to get live tickets forever, but they sell out in minutes. Keep doing what you're doing! I can tell they love what they do, and they do it damn well! Thank you!!

As a self titled "Serial Killer" junkie, I have seen/heard lots of info on the subject(s). This podcast series is PHENOMENAL!! I love the way the stories are told with enough background/info so you can follow and are "dug in".... but limited to just the right amount as to not bore you or suffocate you with information. All in all, outstanding and highly recommend!!

Growing on a from near Minot, attending Minot State and UND, I love listening to (Murder) Stories about ND and the surrounding states. I am a true crime junkie and listen to a lot of murder and true crime podcasts. I would add Midwest Murder to the top 5 or 6that I listen to. These podcasts are very well researched and preformed. I can tell they hosts put a lot of time and work into each podcast they deliver.

Dawn – i do want to mention that not everyone who murders has mental issues – some people are just plain Evil!

Thanks Jonah & Dawn – keep up the great work. looking forward to many, many more!
