In John 15, Jesus says I am the vine and my father is the gardener. In this teaching, we speak of abiding in the vine and bearing fruit and the cutting that comes in love. From this place of abiding, love and joy and fruit come forth.

While the bridegroom delayed in his coming, five wise virgins had enough oil to light their lamps, while five foolish virgins ran out of oil. While they are gone, the bridegroom arrives locking out the foolish virgins.
