What if your rock bottom was actually the foundation for your empire?

Welcome to Mess to Millions, the unfiltered podcast where trauma becomes triumph, breakdowns turn into breakthroughs, and pain fuels serious profit. Hosted by Erica Carrico, cancer survivor, single mom, recovering perfectionist, and proof that sometimes you have to fall apart to finally fall into place.

Eight years ago, cancer gave Erica an ultimatum: change or die. What followed was her “life explosion era”: divorce, job loss, and starting over from scratch. The twist? Losing everything became the catalyst for building a multimillion-dollar purpose-driven business and helping over a million people discover that their hardest chapters can unlock their greatest comebacks.

This show is for women who have survived what should have broken them, who are done with toxic positivity, and who are ready to believe their mess can become their million-dollar message.

Each week, Erica goes deep into the stories we usually whisper about: childhood trauma, burnout, divorce, toxic relationships, business failures, and how to alchemize all of it into abundance. Expect raw conversations, healing strategies, business wisdom, and yes, a few tears (the good kind). Because transformation isn’t always pretty… but it is powerful.

Your biggest disasters might be your most valuable education. Your deepest wounds might hold your greatest wisdom. And your story? It’s not just your superpower, it could be someone else’s survival guide.

Subscribe now to Mess to Millions and join us in rewriting what success really looks like.

Because your breakdown might just be your breakthrough.

  • EP 07 - My Divorce Glow-up: How Leaving My Marriage Made Me Millions
    Nov 26 2025

Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is let go.

For years, I tried to make it work with someone on a completely different path. I craved depth and soul-level connection. He wanted surface and safety. Two unhealed hearts drinking away the disconnection, traveling to avoid the truth.

The breaking point: my son said he was shocked that married people sleep in the same bed. We'd been in separate rooms so long he thought that was normal.

    So I chose me.

In this episode, I share what blossomed after I honored my truth:

💜 Finding myself again after years of being lost
💜 Releasing alcohol and discovering clarity
💜 Opening to unexpected love (including falling for a woman)
💜 Creating a sanctuary home that truly holds me
💜 Building thriving abundance on my own terms
💜 Learning I am completely whole on my own

My children are flourishing because they have a mama who's fully alive.

If you're shrinking, if you're dying inside, if your soul is whispering that something needs to change—this episode is for you.

This is about what grows when you stop abandoning yourself and finally come home to your own soul.

My book, Awaken Your Purpose, is the 28-day framework that has helped thousands of people discover their life purpose and live an aligned life.

  • EP 06 - The Marriage that was Killing Me
    Nov 19 2025

You know you're in trouble when you stop caring. When you shut down emotionally just to survive.

I stopped singing. Stopped dancing. Stopped laughing. Started drinking just to tolerate being in the same room with my spouse.

From the outside, my marriage looked perfect. Inside, I was dying.

In the first few years, I tried. I begged for couples therapy for years. Got silence. We slept in separate rooms. No intimacy. Just surface conversations about logistics.

I knew it was over. But I couldn't grieve losing daily time with my kids. That kept me stuck.

Then cancer at 36. I thought: if I'm dying, I want to see my kids every day. So I stayed.

Until the staying itself felt like it was part of my dying.

Took me 4 more years to finally leave. When I did, I lost everything. His family blocked me. His brother posted vile comments on my social media. Friends chose sides. 50/50 custody.

My only regret? Not leaving sooner.

You'll hear: when stopping caring means real danger • marrying wrong for potential • the "blindsiding" pattern • losing everything • how purpose became my foundation • building millions while rebuilding life.

For every woman dying in a marriage but staying for the kids, money, or fear. Your kids need to see you fully alive, not every day as a shell.

My purpose saved me when everything fell apart. I teach this in Awaken Your Purpose - how to discover what you're meant to do and rebuild your life around it.

  • EP 05 - Change or Die
    Nov 12 2025

September 2016. I'm staring at myself in the bathroom mirror at work, and I just know something is wrong.

Not a lump. Not a symptom. Just... knowing.

Six weeks later, I'm pulling off the freeway into a Panda Express parking lot, my doctor's words ringing in my ears: "You were right. This is cancer."

Kidney cancer. At 36. A 3-inch mass that my body had been screaming at me about for months.

But this isn't a sad cancer story. This is the story of how my body gave me an ultimatum I couldn't ignore: remember why you're here, or keep creating the disease that's trying to kill you.

After years of living out of alignment with my purpose—working a $29K job, staying in a marriage that wasn't working, people-pleasing until I couldn't breathe—my body said ENOUGH.

I had the surgery. But I didn't do chemo or radiation. Because I understood: cancer wasn't the problem. Cancer was the symptom. The problem was that I wasn't living my purpose.

    You'll hear about:

    • How I found the cancer intuitively before any test could prove it
    • Why I knew deep down that if my body created this, it would keep creating it
    • The 5-year journey of removing everything that no longer belonged
    • How I learned to love myself on a cellular level (not woo-woo, actual science)
    • Bob Proctor's teachings on imagination, will, and perception that saved my life
    • How remembering my mission turned cancer into my greatest teacher
    • Why stepping into your "Original Medicine" isn't optional—it's survival
    • The exact process I used to go from cancer to millions (vision + will + aligned action)

This is the pivotal episode. The moment I remembered why I'm here. The moment I chose my purpose over playing small.

And here's what I want you to know: you don't need cancer to give you permission. Your body is already trying to bring you back to your purpose. Are you listening?

Sometimes the thing that almost destroys you is actually your soul forcing you to remember why you're here.
