Welcome to the Association for Academic Psychiatry Podcast! This podcast series is designed to highlight topics relevant to academic psychiatrists worldwide.
Our second episode — hosted by AAP Communications Committee member Nikhita Singhal, a psychiatry resident at the University of Toronto — features a discussion about the importance of mentorship and an introduction to the AAP’s new mentorship program with Dr. Shaheen Darani, a clinician educator and assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and staff psychiatrist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Dr. Darani also sits on the executive board of the AAP, where she leads mentorship activities within the organization as Chair of the Career Development Committee.
