  • How to Close the Thinking Gap
    Jun 11 2025
If the greatest gap between successful and unsuccessful people is the thinking gap, how can you close it? In this episode, John Maxwell is sharing the key to shrinking the distance between where you are and where you want to be! After his lesson, Mark Cole and Chris Goede sit down to talk about what John has shared and offer you practical application for your own life and leadership. Key takeaways: The most effective leaders give themselves permission to think about what’s possible, not just what’s probable. If I think that there is an answer, I’ll become a victor. If I think that there’s no answer, I’ll become a victim. When facing a problem, think beyond just resolving the issue at hand. Discover solutions to eliminate the root cause and equip others to handle it in the future. Our BONUS resource for this episode is the How to Close the Thinking Gap Worksheet, which includes fill-in-the-blank notes from John’s teaching. Wow! This is great information that all leaders should be required to study! Having experienced both sides, as I'm sure most of you have, of following and leading...I've learned mostly from experiencing bad leadership/management. I hope to never lose trust from my team, and to not only retain the best of the best, but that the environment draws the best of the best. Servant leadership is key!

Great Information!

Flying back home from Pittsbugh today I listened to this podcast. Can't tell you how many notes I took but it truly fired me up! one of the key takeaways for me was what Mark said about the fulfillment from teaching others and watching the lights go on! For some reason I could never put my finger on why I truly enjoyed leading. That was it for me!! Could tell that Mark was really expressing his true self here. The other piece was we become fully alive when we know what you were created to be. Great stuff!! Man, this podcast was outstanding and thank you for all your hard work to make these episodes happen. I am a life long learner!!!

Well done!!
