Hey Guys!
Today my guest is my good friend Max Simas!
In Pt. 1 of this episode, Max and I had a great conversation about his journey from playing rock-n-roll music with his band, WJM, to now being a seasoned Jazz musician in one of the Bay Area's top youth jazz orchestras. Max has had quite the musical background and has even plated at the United Nations TWICE, and he's only 17. Max and I dive deep into what it's like to get into Jazz music, where we started our journeys and what "Jazz" is overall.
Max is also a very talented producer and sampler and he has allowed me to share a SNEAK PEAK from his up-coming album "Dirty Markers." (Release date TBD) In Part 2 of this episode we will talk a bit more about this. Keep a look-out!
*IMPORTANT*
Max and I met at a summer camp for children and families who have experienced childhood cancer, called Camp Okizu, in Berry Creek. Sadly, due to this summer's horrific fires, Okizu's location did burn. Because of this, Max has started a GoFundMe to raise $2500 in the rebuilding efforts. PLEASE CHECK IT OUT!!! ->
