“Deport everyone” sounds simple—until you look at the economic fallout. From Florida’s slowed job growth to farm and construction labor shortages, tougher enforcement has already exposed how dependent key industries are on immigrant labor.
Yes, border enforcement matters. But so does economic reality. Wiping out the workforce doesn’t magically replace it—it raises prices, delays projects, and hurts growth. Both things can be true at once, and pretending otherwise isn’t a solution.
