And this time we introduce our Marple Runners Handicap Race, meeting two of the series architects to hear how having this year transformed from the old Time Trial Race, it's taken on a life of its own as an inclusive 4 race series levelling the field across running paces and abilities to become a real favourite with our members. And to prove just that Mark bravely rocked up at Race 4 with his mic to chat to the volunteers and race participants and maybe bottle some of the magic just to share with you.     It's Episode 8! Who knew we could keep up this ruse for so long? Well, we know one person who constantly reminds us about the statistical probability that we might not make it past Episode 10, so with that challenge accepted, we invited the man himself, John Bailey, down to tell us about his time at Marple Runners as Club Secretary, a role he held for the last 4.5 years until more important things in life got in the way, sharing some secrets of his time and maybe to share something about his collection of club memorabilia Objet d'art ...well that last bit didn't work for audio only so maybe we need to start a video podcast. No groaning at the back.

    Episode Seven : Carnival Race Magic

    It's carnival season and in this episode of our podcast we bring you an expose on the Marple Runners Carnival Races:- the 10k Trail Race & Family Fun Run.

    As the current Run Director it's an event close to Neil's heart so we hear about how the idea for the event came about from Andy Lord and it's development by Richard who was Run Director of the first 6 events. There was no Marple Carnival itself this year but that didn't stop Marple Runners delivering an 8th annual event so Mark took our roving mic down to meet Dennis, Minnie & the volunteers, and of course the winners and some of the 350 participants in this year's 10k event to capture just a little bit of Carnival Magic.
