Is it feasible to think you can train for a marathon, while losing fat and still hit the gym 3/4 times a week for those muscle gains? The key here is to focus on the main goal. If running is just a bit of fun, a way to incorporate a bit of cardio without worrying about PBs, then by all means run alongside trying to lose fat. But if you have some big dreams about race PBs, long distances and getting faster, then you might want to reconsider how important your fat loss goal is in the grand scheme.
And as always with these things, every person and every situation is different, so what works for some may not work for others.
