Man's Purpose: Why are we here and what should we be doing?

https://www.bibleborn.com/ Since the garden of eden man has been battling self fulfillment with giving control and credit to God. Why do we fight so hard to give up control ? This is something that does not come naturally to us being human (flesh). We like control and to think we are in control of our own lives and environment when in realilty that has been planned out a long time ago. This understanding of our lives and the "future" can bring great peace and provide us with the purpose we were put on this Earth To do.
