No sooner is Jesus baptized and named God’s beloved Son than he is led into the wilderness to be tested. Epiphany reminds us that revelation is often followed by resistance. In the desert, Jesus meets temptation not with shortcuts or power, but with God’s Word and deep trust in the Father. This week in our Manifesting Messiah series, we focus on Manifesting Trials and Testing, exploring how faith is shaped through testing. James reminds us that trials mature our faith, and Matthew shows us a Savior who enters the battle on our behalf. When trials come, we are not alone. Our scripture focus will be Matthew 4:1-11.
