In this inaugural episode, it so happens to be October 31st, 2022, so what better way to start than Martin Luther's Disputation on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences, otherwise known as the 95 Theses, nailed to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg on this day in 1517, sparking the Protestant Reformation.
As a matter of introduction, I think I'm going to keep the commentary to a minimum in this podcast. The reality is that I'm actually really bad at church history. I do have a Master of Theology degree, but that actually entailed all of two actual courses in church history, which anyone who knows church history knows is barely scratching the surface. So among other things, consider this my own journey to rediscovering the riches left for us by the resurrected saints who were guided by the very same Holy Spirit who indwells us and empowers us today.
