The sixth Sabbath is Jesus Healing, the man with the swelled up body and abnormal swelling of the body. Now we have just passed the seventh. Sabbath, and we are on to a newfirst day of the week. Any inauguration of a newly installed King would be the King seated on his new throne. Maybe? Here we have Jesus thrown as a instrument of Roman torture. The Roman empires, torture instrument, Jesus takes, and transforms it into his throne. He takes the tree of death, which we remember from the garden of Eden, and transforms into the tree of life.

The Passover festival takes us back to the exodus from Egypt. When Moses wasn’t instructed to tell the Israelites to paint the blood of the pass over lamb on the door, post of the houses, so that the angel of death would pass them by and that their firstborn would not die. Here we have Jesus offering his blood and his body to his disciples to eat a meal in remembrance of him, and remembrance of the pass over festival. In fact, we cannot understand the true significance of the pass over festival, without recognizing the deep significance, that Jesus takes it onas he faces is death.

Very interesting. Terrible about someone who plants a vineyard. This is very connected to Isaiah chapter 5 when the Lord speaks of his Vineyard, when Jesus says that the Vineyard owner will give it give the Vineyard to others. This seems to be saying that he will give the land. Give the place to other people, A.A., the Romans, who come and destroy it in 78 and the people are like may. This never happen. It did happen.

How scandalous that Jesus would hang out with a tax collector, a leader, among tax collectors, who is such a horrible, ratchet person! Why in the world would Jesus do this!??? What in the world is Jesus thinking hanging out with a person like this? I guess at this point, we should all think of those people that we really are disgusted by and then imagine Jesus, hanging out with that person, and imagine how we would feel. Jesus seems to be teaching us about our thoughts by hanging out with people that discuss usdiscussed disgust.
