Losing Relatives to Fox News

  • Resumen

  • Mike tells Sarah what makes older Americans more vulnerable to misinformation — and who is delivering it to them. Digressions include "Supernatural," the Rachel and a fake university in Pennsylvania. We recorded this episode before the election but tried not to make it too obvious.

Here's the article Mike wrote with all the research he did for this episode:

awesome show! we want our parents back!

this is well presented, I listened twice about how easy it us for people to get tricked in so many ways. build your mental ability and save parents and friends from scammers and bullshitters.

Eye opening

The info in the podcast is very enlightening.
As an over 50 person I was very encouraged to read opinion pieces and do much more diligent with my social media.

Would be better without the profanity

My teenagers and I listened to this interview together. I think that the content was great, but I found myself getting annoyed by Mike’s use of the word “dick” to describe himself. Then Sarah just had to throw in shit a time or two. I don’t talk this way with my friends or peers so I don’t want my children to think “This is the way adults “supposed to” talk. As an educator, I strongly believe that individuals who throw in random profanity when conversing have a limited vocabulary or at the very least, they choose not to use the wealth of words found in the English language.

Very very biased.

They are hypocritical and biased. They “make jokes” and laugh at them when it’s not even close to being funny. Not even news or podcast worthy.

two babblerapping millennials demean their elders.

So bad I could not continue listening to the end. Goal appears to be to push untrue stereotypes about the elderly. Thesis is elderly are stupid, easily manipulated, unsuccessful, naive, flawed, and just wrong. Don't waste your time.
