Cam Talbot rewound the clock, as he stood on his head against the Blackhawks allowing just one goal. Additionally, the PK was in top form killing all SIX penalties against last years 2nd best PP. Berggren and Soderblom also reall nice impressive plays to setup goals. #LGRW

The Detroit Red Wings lost a pair of preseason games over the weekend. The first one to Pittsburgh saw John Gibson's first appearance in a winged wheel, and he looked settled in. Meanwhile, Cossa got the start against Buffalo and struggled in his outing. Some positives though from the weekend is that the 2nd and 3rd line look very much decided, and strong. #LGRW

Andrew Copp and his new look matchup line looked as they should, like NHL vets playing a preseason game. This heavy forechecking line brought pressure all night long to the Sabres. Andrew Copp himself had an assist on a SH goal, an even-strength goal and set a nice screen on a PP goal. The rest of the team played well as well. Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, Axel Sandin-Pellikka, Nate Danielson, Carter Mazur, Emmitt Finnie, and Amadeus Lombardi all made their presences felt in this one while getting work with established vets like Dylan Larkin, Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond. #LGRW

The Detroit Red Wings prospects dominated the Chicago Blackhawks in their first preseason game, winning 3-2. But no one impressed more than Emmitt Finne who recorded the game winning goal and a highlight reel assist on another one.
