LSU’s pursuit of the No. 1 offensive tackle in the transfer portal, Jordan Seaton, took a dramatic turn late Monday — and the recruitment may not be over after all.

After Seaton canceled his scheduled dinner at Supper Club, the prevailing belief was that he was headed to Oregon. However, a source confirmed Seaton was still inside LSU Football Operations at 4:30 PM, and social media clues from both Seaton and Lane Kiffin suggest LSU made a major late push — possibly including a visit to the Governor’s Mansion to meet Gov. Jeff Landry.

The transfer portal was closed… until Lane Kiffin delivered exactly what he promised at midnight.

Just after the clock struck 12, Ole Miss linebacker TJ Dottery — the SEC’s leading tackler — was officially announced as an LSU signee, capping a stunning end to the portal cycle. Dottery became LSU’s seventh portal addition of the day, putting an exclamation point on one of the most aggressive roster rebuilds we’ve seen in Baton Rouge.

LSU also added four offensive linemen on Friday, bringing the total to eight offensive line additions in this portal cycle, fully replacing the eight linemen who departed. We break down each of the additions, what they bring, and how the Tigers addressed the final major question mark on the roster.

And even with 38 total portal additions, LSU may not be done.

As the transfer portal approaches its closing hours, the contrast between LSU and Ole Miss could not be more stark.

Ole Miss has seen players exit the program, and almost immediately, anonymous “sources” began pointing fingers at Lane Kiffin and accusing him of creating chaos in Oxford. We explain why the report falls apart under scrutiny, how much of it reads like fan frustration disguised as media, and why—even if any of it were true—Ole Miss has no one to blame but itself after publicly accusing Kiffin of tampering and attempting to embarrass him following his departure for LSU.
