Acerca de esta escucha
"I have too much to be here for, and I have too much to do to just let these things put me in a state of mind where I can't get up and do anything."
Armando Enrriques was hit with a life-altering diabetes diagnosis that sent him immediately to the ER. Emerging from a near-fatal stay, Enrriques decided with the help of his JPS educators a new plan of action so that he could live the life he wanted to live, on his terms, and stay healthy to keep his diabetes in check.
Hosts Brian Maschino and Tatiyana Giddings sit with inpatient diabetes educators Val Smyre and Bea Pandit to talk living with diabetes and how to change the trajectory of one's life for the better.
In this season, we're highlighting the stories of how, in spite of a difficult diagnosis, we ultimiately can take back control of our lives.
