Pastor Dooba continues our verse by verse series through the Gospel of John with John 19:28-42. This passage describes the Lord's death on the cross. His death in this manner was fortold by the Bible. It was His choice to die, to break down the dividing wall between God and man: Man's sin. As post-resurrection people we can take comfort in Jesus' sacrifice, knowing that He has already made up for all my failings, if only I would trust Him and give control of my life over to He who has conquered both life and death.

Pastor Dooba resumes our verse by verse series through the Gospel of John with John 19:17-27, during the
last hours of Jesus' life before the cross. Our interludes in Jonah and Ruth were strategic: Jesus is about to give the people of His day the "sign of Jonah" (Matthew 12:39-40, Luke 11:29-30) and fulfill the duties of a redeemer, not only for Israel, but for the whole world.

As we conclude this book, we find the prodigal prophet finally at the city he was sent to in chapter 1. The great city has repented, and instead of finding joy filling the heart of
