    Dr. Lynnda Nadien talks with Warren S. Hoffman, NCC Class of 1977. He was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and is a founding father of our alumni association. He says NCC provided him with a foundation for his education and his future. He serves as a senior partner with the firm Sperber, Hoffman, Stein and Scampoli, LLP. He is the father of two and has four grandchildren. His hobbies include being a pilot and flying his private plane, walking, and playing pickleball. He is being honored at the Alumni Association's 40th Anniversary Gala this year.

  • Lisa R. Valente

    Dr. Lynnda Nadien talks with Lisa R. Valente, a partner at Makofsky Valente Law Group, PC, with offices in Garden City. Lisa was selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Star and Best Lawyers Lists, and she is a Woman of Distinction Award Winner in 2021. She graduated from NCC in 1999 and transferred to SUNY Old Westbury, earning a BA in politics, economics and the law. She graduate from Touro Law School with honors. She is a member of the NYS Bar Association and is a respected writer. Her legal efforts support probate and estate administration, trust administration and beneficiaries.

  • Lawrence Engel

    Dr. Lynnda Nadien talks with Lawrence Engel 84. Lawrence is a founding father of the Alumni Association. He grew up in Wantagh and graduated from Arch Bishop Molloy High School. After NCC he went to SUNY Old Westbury, and worked for the IRS, and is a proud retiree. He is currently a defensive driving instructor for AAA. He served as President of the SUNY Confederation of Alumni Associations.

    Dr. Lynnda Nadien talks with Muhammed Abdullah Atif '22. He is currently a senior computer science major at Farmingdale State College, with a focus on full stack coding. He is active in the creation of efficient and scalable applications and involved in the student government serving as the Chairperson. He was active in NCC's student government as well. In his spare time, he is an avid reader and lover of books as well. He works as an intern at FSC for the Office of Community and Civic Engagement, and advocates for student concerns in all facets of campus life.

    Dr. Lynnda Nadien talks with Kathryn Newman, NCC Class of 1976, majoring in African American studies. As a teaching assistant in the Hempstead Public Schools, she got her teaching assistant certification. She is a lover of music, art, African studies and worked at the New York Times Syndicate for many years. She enjoys baseball, listening to music, and watching TV and movies.

    Dr. Lynnda Nadien talks with Counrtney Tricarichi-Funk, Class of 2005. Courtney is an information sciences scholar and educator. Upon graduation, she earned a BA in Psychology from Hofstra University, followed by an MA from LIU in Philosophy (Information Sciences) and is now in pursuit of a PhD with a focus on neurodivergent students and ensuring their access to higher education. She is currently an adjunct professor and instructor at NCC in the Center for Workforce Development. She is an academic advisor and is a co-runner of the tabletop gaming expo and an expert in the gaming industry.

    Dr. Lynnda Nadien talks with Tolitha Henry, NCC Class of 2015. She is a passionate traveler who has explored nearly 30 countries as a solo traveler and is deeply connected to fostering strong connections with communities around the world. She serves as a special education teacher with a decade of experience in high school, middle school, and kindergarten. Tolitha is an instructional coach and supports educators to better serve children. She is a runner, a hiker, and is part of many social clubs that involve creating vision boards and sparking creativity and meaningful conversations.

    Dr. Lynnda Nadien talks with Carolyn Henry '00. She has dedicated her life to assisting others and is currently an educational assistant working with children with cerebral palsy. She is an NYS licensed chaplain and pastor, providing guidance to those in need. Alongside her husband, she hosts a Christian podcast called Rivers of Living Waters Overflowing Ministry on www.churchtalkradio.com. She also serves on the NCC Alumni Association board and recently retired from the Department of Probation where she served as the Executive Assistant to brand chiefs, directors and the deputy commissioner with 31 years of service.
