When I saw my reference clip online I chuckled. I thought I was the only one that didn't connect to sadness when my son was diagnosed with Autism. Now, be clear, the feeling I had was more of, "fuck, I got more advocating and therapy on my plate". I was overwhelmed with the balance of what my family dynamic became. There's no same reaction, everyone handles challenges and shifts differently. We can truly learn how to co-exist and support each other.
