Jennifer Nash’s work in The Black Body in Ecstasy: Reading Race, Reading Pornography foregrounds this week’s conversation about home movies, pornography, and public displays of pleasure. Nash reimagines what pleasure is possible in racialized pornography for bodies at the margin. They use the term racial iconography as a way to imagine race as a technology of domination and a technology of pleasure.
