There's a lot to unpack from the recent Presidential and Congressional election results! This week on the Legal Lens Show, we’re taking a closer look at how the recent election could shape the work of Congress and the House of Representatives—plus the impact on key Democratic races still in limbo. I'm thrilled to welcome back Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who has a gift for breaking down some of the most complex legal and policy issues for our listeners. Together, we discussed what this means for the country. She also shares her insights on President-Elect Trump’s early appointments, including his choices for Attorney General, Matt Gaetz and Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth. Don’t miss out on this must-listen episode! To listen to our live show, tune in every Saturday @ 11 AM PT & Sunday @ 1 PM PT on kbla1580.com and on the KBLA TALK 1580 app. We’ve got a lot to talk about!

Every night, nearly 3,000 young people in Los Angeles County alone experience homelessness, facing not only the loss of stable shelter but also emotional hardship and isolation. This is part of a growing trend across the nation and around the world, where more and more young adults are struggling with homelessness, emotional abuse, and mental health issues. This November, for Youth Homelessness, Outreach, Prevention, and Education (HOPE) Month, we observe this month with a guest who’s making a real difference—Janet Denise Kelly, the founder and Executive Director of Sanctuary of Hope. Sanctuary of Hope offers life-changing services for youth and young adults (ages 16-25) across South Los Angeles, South Bay, Compton, and Antelope Valley, providing support to those impacted by housing insecurity, the child welfare and justice systems, trafficking, and more. Please tune-in and let’s shine a light on youth homelessness and the efforts to give every young person a chance at a brighter future.
