Zig Ziglar was a best-selling American author and speaker who uplifted millions with his motivational message. He was also a savvy salesperson and businessman, who founded the Zig Ziglar Corporation and grew it to a staff of 60 employees.

At my first big radio show job in Kansas City, I realized I needed to make more each month to take care of my son's medical bills. So I went into the General Manager and asked for a raise. He said that I could give myself a raise if I took myself off the air with my morning show, I could join the sales staff and give myself a raise.

One of the best investments he made was to take the sales team to see Zig Ziglar at a stadium event for sales people. I have since gone to Zig's amazing events every other year for forty years. These events were packed with motivational speakers and trainers from many top leader background. This episode is my narration of a great true story demonstrating that attitude is everything. Enjoy.
