Lainey Wilson is having one of those weeks where every move feels like a headline. On December 5th she dropped a major new collaboration the country rock reimagining Wild Woman with Aerosmith and Yungblud released as Wild Woman Lainey Wilson Version. According to Good Morning America and Country Now this fresh take on the track from Aerosmith and Yungbluds One More Time EP adds her signature country edge to the blues rock original. Yungblud gushed in the official release that they needed a wild woman and they for sure got one praising Wilsons authenticity and power. The collaboration reportedly came after she and Steven Tyler performed Dream On together at his 2025 Jam for Janie benefit which led to Tyler and Yungblud inviting her to record vocals while Joe Perry laid down new guitar parts in the studio. Wilson told Apple Music she was immediately all in once she heard the song and is already eager to perform it live with them.
This new version is already making waves as part of a project that hit No 1 on Billboards Top Rock Albums and topped the UK charts for Aerosmith marking their first UK No 1 in 49 years. Wilsons role in this genre bending track is being framed as a bold crossover moment in her career. Beyond the studio she is deep in tour mode tonight she headlines the Wildflowers and Wild Horses Tour at T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo with Shane Smith and The Saints and Gabriella Rose joining as special guests. Ticketmaster and her official site confirm the show is on and tickets are available.
On the awards and honors front Wilson continues to ride high after hosting the 2025 CMA Awards and earning multiple Grammy nominations. She also headlined the Macy s Thanksgiving Day Parade and scored a No 1 country hit with Somewhere Over Laredo. Her holiday EP Peace Love and Cowboys is also in full promotion including a new animated video for her posthumous duet with Bing Crosby on Let It Snow Let It Snow Let It Snow created in partnership with Hersheys. She is set to appear at Opry Country Christmas on December 10 according to the Grand Ole Opry schedule.
