  • The Pentecast: Day 50 - Debi Matthews
    Jun 8 2025

Welcome to Day 50 of the Pentecast on LOVECHURCH — The Podcast. Today marks the final step in our journey from Easter to Pentecost, and Tim is joined once again by Debi Matthews as they close with the final chapter of the Bible: Revelation 22.

After fifty days tracing the story of Scripture, we now arrive at the glorious end — and the new beginning. Eden is restored. The invitation is open. “The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come.’ Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.” (Revelation 22:17)

This isn’t just a vision of heaven; it’s an invitation to the ultimate celebration — the wedding feast of the Lamb. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is invited. And Jesus, the Alpha and Omega, is at the centre of it all.

Debi reminds us that the best parties aren’t about wealth or glamour — they’re about being with the people we love. And this final scene promises the greatest celebration of all, with the One who is love, inviting us to dwell with Him forever.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. May you keep walking in His love, filled with the Spirit, and holding tight to the hope that we’re headed somewhere beautiful — together.

    Happy Pentecost!

  • The Pentecast: Day 49 - Prue Bedwell
    Jun 7 2025

Welcome to Day 49 of the Pentecast on LOVECHURCH — The Podcast. Today, Tim is joined by Prue Bedwell for our penultimate episode, as they reflect on the awe-inspiring, hope-filled vision of Revelation.

Revelation paints a sweeping picture of God’s ultimate victory — not just over evil, but over sorrow, suffering, and even death itself. As Prue and Tim explore chapters like 12 and 21, they remind us of the central message: “The Lord reigns. The Lamb who was slain is now on the throne.”

Amid apocalyptic imagery, what shines through is deep comfort — the accuser is defeated, and the promise is clear: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.” The old order is passing away. God is making everything new.

Revelation doesn’t promise an easy road, but it assures us of a glorious ending. We are called to endure, to remain faithful, and to keep worshipping — because our hope is secure.

Join us one last time tomorrow for Day 50 — Pentecost Sunday — as we finish this journey with joy.

  • The Pentecast: Day 48 - Abosede Oriolowo
    Jun 6 2025

Welcome to Day 48 of the Pentecast on LOVECHURCH — The Podcast. Today, Tim is joined by Abosede Oriolowo as they open up Revelation 3:14–22 — the letter to the church in Laodicea.

Jesus doesn’t mince his words in this powerful rebuke: “You are neither hot nor cold… You are lukewarm — and I’m about to spit you out.” It’s a stark wake-up call for anyone coasting in faith. Abosede reflects on how easy it is to slip into lukewarm Christianity — passionate when life is good, hesitant when things feel hard.

This passage becomes a spiritual health check. Are we wholehearted in our worship? Are we relying on our own comfort and success — or are we seeking intimacy with Jesus every day?

And yet, the letter ends with an invitation. Jesus says, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock.” If we open the door to him, we are promised not just fellowship, but a place beside him: “To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne.”

Take a moment today to ask honestly: am I living lukewarm? Invite Jesus in again. He’s knocking.

Let’s keep going — see you tomorrow for our penultimate day — Day 49.
