I'm super stoked to be celebrating this milestone episode with Dan 🎸& Sim 🥁from Boorloo / Perth band Gyroscope (Ps - no you're not seeing double & yes I know last episode we had Rob the Gyro's OG drummer…)

Not only are Dan & Sim helping me celebrate the 50th episode with their rad dinner party, but we all are celebrating the fact that Gyroscope have new music out ("My Broken Spine") & are hitting the road for shows this march & April (song links & tour dates are in the show notes)

Gyroscope were one of the first bands that I was lucky enough to tour with & their live show is non-stop energy💥…they are one of the best & entertaining live bands I have ever had the pleasure of mixing sound for & so I'm very pleased that they are back making fresh tunes for our ear holes 👂🏼& playing more shows for our eye balls 👀 🤘🏼

Dan, Sim & I have a great catch up about Gyroscopes new studio that they built themselves, where they engineer & produce all their new music by themselves plus also keeping chickens 🐓 before we settle in for a quality fantasy dinner party with some hella rockstars 🤩

Well hello & welcome to ep. 49 of the LWICFD! Podcast. It's been a minute (I was enjoying the summer 🏝️) so without anymore mucking around my guest for your ear holes is Rob Nassif! 💥

I met Rob over 20yrs ago when he was smashing drums in a band called Gyroscope. Many moons ago I was lucky enough to be invited to tour with Gyros for a few laps of the country as their sound engineer & tour manager and it was very good times!

Rob has now hung up the drumsticks after 20+ years tho and now is the owner of some amazing rehearsal & creative spaces called "The Hen House" in Boorloo, Perth & the newly constructed one in Naarm, Melbourne (which he also manages…) Speaking of management, in his 'spare' time 😅 Rob manages 2 hard working Aussie bands called RedHook & The Faim but most importantly he is a loving & devoted husband & father…man is busy so it was an absolute treat to catch up with him & hear some cool Gyro stories plus find out how he got to where he is now…
