Will talks about Waverley being the first council in Australia to adopt the IHRA definition of antisemitism and the establishment of a comprehensive plan that can serve as a model for other councils. Maurice Klein speaks with Eddie (Mr Jewish Movies) Tamir, artistic director of the Jewish International Film Festival (JIFF) which commences its 2025 season on October 19 at the Classic Cinemas in Elsternwick the traditional home of the festival, then hitting the big screens across the country throughout October and November culminating with the Perth leg for two and a half weeks in December. Eddie unpacks JIFF 2025 with many of the 51 JIFF films premiering at the festival, providing an insight into the Jewish experience and the unique Jewish contribution to the multicultural landscape showcasing cinema from Israel and the Jewish Diaspora.
