  • Bonus Mailbag Episode: Our Favorite Bosses and the Mysteries of Shiver Star
    Mar 24 2026

Is this bonus episode, Sean, Bridget, and Gigi are answering more listener questions, covering their favorite bosses, Kirby Super Star ninja tech, the mysterious Earth-like features of Kirby 64's Shiver Star, and more.

Thank you to everyone who submitted questions to the show, and if you'd like to share something with us, like a discussion question or a recommendation for a future episode, we're always excited to hear from listeners. You can reach us at mail@kirbyconversations.com or submit your question to us on social media.

We've gotten quite a few questions as well that were wondering general questions about Kirby, with some people wondering about the number of abilities in certain games, whether the character came before the vacuum cleaner brand, whether Kirby was a specific type of animal, why he is "so hungry," and others where we thought the best answer might just be to direct people to other resources about Kirby. You can listen to Masahiro Sakurai discuss his initial creation of Kirby here, and he also talks about the development history of many Kirby games on his YouTube channel. https://wikirby.com/, where Gigi is Editor-in-Chief, is an excellent resource for specific game details, and you can also look back at our episode library to see if we've looked at the history of a game you were curious about, too. So thank you to Kattari, Laney, William S., Saia, Allura G., Grey, Nick Randall, Erica S., Hannah Williamson, Griffin, Enrique S., and Janet N. for their questions that were focused on either who Kirby is or Kirby trivia. Hopefully answering in this format helps clear up the things you were curious about. :)
