Welcome to the newest version of Keeping Up With Chaos From The Booth And Beyond! We have evolved again into total Creative Chaos!

We're a podcast created by a group of friends who are here to share, document and connect with other creatives as we all navigate our own creative journeys from the very beginning. Here you'll find our Signature series called - Meet Your Actor Series - where we highlight other fellow actors & dive into hearing all about how they got started on their own creative paths. Then we also love to bring on industry Professionals, who share their relatable stories, professional tips and knowledge about different topics we all can learn from! Join us at the Chaos table every other Wednesday. So go ahead, pop in an ear bud, strap on your walking shoes & grab the dog for a walk or kick off those shoes, grab a snack & find a comfy chair...while you listen in on all the Creative Chaos.

  • Favorite Skill - Adapt to Anything! - Meet Your Actor Series: Dani Verayo
    Apr 9 2026

    S7, EP 205

Meet Your Actor Series - Danielle Verayo

Meet Dani (Danielle) Verayo is a queer Canadian actress, dancer, and singer who made CBBC history playing one of the network’s first queer characters on The Next Step. She’s been in the performing arts world basically her whole life, starting dance at four years old in ballet, tap, and jazz.

Her path hasn’t been the typical studio-to-industry route. When that chapter ended, Dani pivoted — hard. She’s been self-training in hip hop and other styles since 2014, working two jobs at 16 just to keep going, and studying Dance, Drama, and Music Theatre at a performing arts high school. Since then, she’s performed at the Stratford Festival and appeared on shows like The Hardy Boys, Overcompensating, and as a dancer on Ginny & Georgia.

This episode really shows that there’s no single “right” path — things shift, plans change, and if you’re willing to adapt, you can still build something that’s yours.
