We turned to John 14:6, which affirms that, as it says, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one can come to the Father without going through Him. We also turned to 2 Corinthians 5:17, where Paul tells us that we are new creations in Christ. Therefore, our identities should align with Him. Jon Kelly also shared his testimony on finding his new identity in Christ. Pastor Kelly is a husband, father, and Lead Pastor of Chicago West Bible Church. He is also an alumnus of Moody Bible Institute. We also had Heather Rice Minus join us to discuss prison ministry. Heather is the President and CEO of Prison Fellowship, the nation’s largest Christian nonprofit serving prisoners, former prisoners, and families. How can you share the gospel in a way where it makes sense to everyone? We also had Pastor Jon Kelly share his testimony of how Jesus met him in solitary confinement. Pastor Kelly is a husband, father and Lead Pastor of Chicago West Bible Church. He also is an alum of Moody Bible Institute. We also had Dr. Joseph Stowell join us. Dr. Stowell is an international conference speaker, author, and former president of Moody Bible Institute. When Christ died on the cross, He took our sins with Him, and now we have salvation through Him. We turned to Romans 6:6-7, which says that our old selves were crucified with Jesus on the cross, making us no longer slaves to sin. What have you left at the cross? The enemy will try to plant lies in our heads to discourage and keep us from knowing the truth that God has given us. One of those truths is that we are dead to sin and alive in Christ Jesus our Lord, which is spoken about in Romans 6:11. Therefore, we should live for Him. We also had J. Warner Wallace talk about how he went from an atheist to a believer after investigating the supernatural existence of Jesus. J. is a Dateline featured cold-case homicide detective, a national speaker, podcast host, and a best-selling author. He also serves as a Senior Fellow at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview and as an adjunct professor of apologetics at Talbot School of Theology, Gateway Seminary, and Southern Evangelical Seminary.
