  • Negotiations continue between the city and the fire union
    May 31 2024

This week, On The Record host Randy Beamer talks with City Manager Erik Walsh about the negotiations with the Firefighter’s Union. Next, we hear about a new federally funded mental health program coming to the south side, supported by Texas A&M San Antonio. Our guest is the man who will head up the program, Dr. Stephen Lenz with Texas A&M San Antonio. And on Reporter’s Roundtable, SA Report’s Business Reporter Tracy Idell Hamilton discusses her story on how a city audit led to big questions – and a stop in funding – for several area business development nonprofits.

On Reporter’s Roundtable, Ramzi Ghalioum with the San Antonio Business Journal discusses the controversy over hundreds of acres of land around the Toyota Plant on the southside, where the city is trying to get zoning commissioners to approve new zoning overlays that would block residential properties from being developed in those areas.
