  • What's ahead for San Antonio in 2026
    Jan 9 2026

This week On The Record with Randy Beamer, we begin the New Year with Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones to discuss what’s ahead for the city in 2026- including the local impact of Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill”, the military, a potential bond, affordable housing, and other topics.

Next, Zeph Capo, President of the Texas Chapter of the American Federation of Teachers, explains why the organization is suing the Texas Education Agency for investigating teacher’s social media posts that disagree with Governor Abbott’s political views on the late conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. Capo explains what they are looking for with the lawsuit.

And on Reporter’s Roundtable, Jasper Kenzo Sundeen, Business Reporter for the SA Report, joins Randy to discuss the latest lawsuit between the embattled SA Philharmonic and the Scottish Rite Cathedral, the venue they were supposed to play all their concerts in this year and moving forward. What’s happened, and how it might be resolved.
