There's a historically chronic problem in the real estate brokerage industry, specifically in the residential real estate brokerage industry. A problem that is going to have very serious consequences on that sector of the real estate brokerage industry unless something major is done to correct it.

That problem is the virtual absence of professional training of residential real estate agents, especially regarding their understanding, or the absence thereof, of their legal responsibilities.
