Lord of the Rings has conquered many forms of media, from books to film, top comics and even audio dramas. But while attempts have been made, the animated medium has had middling success.

So how would a LoTR anime fair? We’ve had our first taste with The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim – which is now available to stream on HBO Max.
