    Amber Alert issued for 10 month child out of North Las Vegas

    Authorities have cleared the AMBER Alert for 10-month-old Leilani Williams from North Las Vegas. The Nevada State Police announced on their X page.


    According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, the child was located unharmed, and Roderick was taken into custody by authorities without incident.



    Authorities have issued an AMBER Alert for a 10-month-old girl from North Las Vegas, who may be with her father.

    The North Las Vegas Police Department says Leilani Williams was last seen near Martin Luther King Blvd. and Cheyenne Avenue around 1:40 a.m. on Thursday.
    Leilani, who is also known as Leilani Duke, was last seen wearing a white jumper with pink trim and flowers.

    Police say the girl is with 39-year-old Roderick Duke - he's 6'2" tall, 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

    Duke was last seen driving a blue 2017 Chrysler 200 with an unknown license plate.

    Police say an AMBER Alert has been activated due to Roderick being in emotional crisis and making threats to harm himself and 10-month-old Leilani.

    Two County Commission seats and six other positions are up for grabs in White Pine County along with three seats on the Ely City Council in the 2026 election. Now everyone complains about elected officials and local government, but few people bother to vote…and even fewer throw their hat into the ring.

    If you’re upset with County or City government, it’s time to step up. The FCC won’t allow me to stay on the air while I run - equal time requirements and all - but you can. Filing for this year’s elections is underway now through March 13th. Go online to whitepinecounty dot net or go by the County Clerk’s office for details.

    We always say that this is the most important election ever. This year is moreso than ever. Step up and get involved.
