You Can’t Hide Your Light | Jola Speaks Podcast

When God’s light is in you, it shines brightly, no matter the situation, you can’t dim it, and you certainly can’t hide it! In Daniel 3:12, we see how Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego’s unwavering faith stood out in a crowd that had bowed in fear. Their light was so bright that it caught the attention of those looking to bring them down, but in the end, it glorified God!

The Babylonian officials approached King Nebuchadnezzar and said:

"There are certain Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who do not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up."

These men were being watched. Their commitment to God’s standards set them apart so much that they couldn’t be ignored.

Are you blending in when you should be shining? Are you afraid to stand out because of what people might say? Remember, God didn’t place you where you are to be hidden. You are a city on a hill, let your light shine boldly for Him!

Comment "🌟 I shine for God!" if you're ready to let your faith be seen!

Your Stand Should Be Clear | Jola Speaks with Jola Ajelabi

In life, there will always be moments when we must choose—compromise or conviction, fear or faith, man’s approval or God’s favor. Daniel 3:8-15 tells the powerful story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who made their stand crystal clear: They would serve only God, no matter the cost!

The king’s command was simple: Bow to the golden statue or be thrown into the fiery furnace. At first, it seemed everyone obeyed, except three men.

Some jealous astrologers quickly reported Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to King Nebuchadnezzar. They accused them of defying the king’s orders by refusing to worship the idol. The king was furious! He gave them one more chance: Bow or burn!

But here’s the key: Their stand was already made. There was no negotiation.

In today’s world, it’s easy to blend in, compromise, or stay silent to avoid backlash. But where do you stand? Do people know where your loyalty lies? Is your faith firm when challenges arise?

It’s time to make your stand clear! Stand for truth, righteousness, and faith in God, without fear!

Drop a “🔥” in the comments if you’re standing firm in faith!

Evil Prevalence is Temporary | Jola Speaks Podcast

At times, it may seem like evil is winning, that corruption, oppression, and wickedness have the upper hand. But the truth remains: Evil’s reign is always temporary! Daniel 3:1-2 reminds us of this truth through the story of King Nebuchadnezzar’s golden statue and his attempt to force false worship upon the people.

At that moment, it looked like evil was winning. The king had control, and no one dared to resist, except a few faithful ones.

But here’s the lesson: No matter how powerful evil appears, its rule is always temporary.

Are you feeling discouraged by injustice, manipulation, or oppression around you? Remember this: God is still on the throne! Evil may seem to prevail for a while, but its reign is always temporary, because God’s justice and righteousness endure forever!

Hold on to faith, stay strong, and never compromise, because God ALWAYS has the final say!

Drop a 🔥 in the comments if you believe God’s justice will always prevail!

  • Your Responsibility is to Deliver

Your Responsibility is to Deliver | Jola Speaks Podcast

When God gives you a message, assignment, or purpose, your responsibility is not to control the outcome,it is simply to deliver! Daniel 3:1-7 teaches us this truth through the story of King Nebuchadnezzar’s golden statue and the unwavering faith of those who refused to bow.

King Nebuchadnezzar, in an act of pride and control, built a 90-foot golden statue and commanded everyone to bow in worship. The pressure was real, the cost of disobedience was death in a fiery furnace! But three Hebrew men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, chose to stand firm.Their job was to obey God, not to manipulate the outcome. They couldn’t control how the king would react, nor could they guarantee their survival. Their responsibility was simply to stand firm and deliver their faith in action.

Are you afraid to speak up for what’s right because of how others may react? Do you hesitate in sharing God’s word, pursuing your calling, or standing for righteousness because of potential backlash? Like the Hebrew men, our role is not to predict the outcome, it’s to remain obedient and faithful.

Your responsibility is to deliver, God handles the rest!

  • Pride Goes Before a Fall | Jola Speaks Podcast

Pride Goes Before a Fall | Jola Speaks Podcast

Pride can be a silent destroyer, and King Nebuchadnezzar’s golden statue in Daniel 3:1-7 is a powerful lesson on how pride can lead to downfall.

King Nebuchadnezzar had seen God’s power through Daniel’s interpretation of his dream, yet instead of honoring God, he let pride take over. He built a 90-foot golden statue and demanded that everyone worship it, placing himself at the center instead of acknowledging God. He thought his rule was supreme, but he was setting himself up for a humbling moment!

Are we sometimes like Nebuchadnezzar? Do we seek recognition before God’s will? Do we build ‘golden statues’ in our hearts, chasing status, approval, or control? Let’s reflect and choose humility before God humbles us!

  • God's Sovereignty II
    Mar 24 2025

Jola Speaks with Jola Ajelabi | God’s Sovereignty II

God is always in control, even when life feels out of control!

In Part 1, we explored how Daniel responded with wisdom, sought God in prayer, and experienced a divine revelation. Now, in Part 2, we go deeper into the powerful truth of God’s sovereignty and how it applies to our daily lives.

When Daniel and his friends were faced with a life-or-death situation, they didn’t rely on human intelligence, connections, or fear-driven actions. Instead, they turned to the ultimate source of wisdom, God Himself!

Daniel didn’t randomly end up in Babylon. His presence in the king’s court was part of God’s divine plan. In the same way, where you are today, whether it feels like a challenge or an opportunity, is not by accident. God is working everything out for His purpose. Notice that Daniel didn’t pray alone (Daniel 2:17-18). He sought faith-filled friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, to intercede with him. Who are you surrounding yourself with in tough times? It matters!

Life will always present unexpected twists, but when we recognize God’s sovereignty, we can walk in boldness, peace, and faith. Daniel didn’t just survive Babylon—he thrived because he trusted in God’s rule over all things.

Are you in a season of uncertainty? Remember, God is always in control, and He has a plan bigger than you can imagine! Drop a 🙌 in the comments if you’re trusting in His sovereignty today!
