Prior to launching his own PR and marketing firm, The Barrett Company, Charlie was one of the top publicists at NBC throughout the 1980s, where he was charge of media relations for The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In this segment, Charlie discusses how Carson often discussed the monologue with him every night after the taping, and how Carson was particularly interested in whatever feedback may have come from the media.
