Johan - Gringo Nordic Coffee Roasters

Johan Ekfeldt is the founder of Gringo Nordic Coffee Roasters. We met him the day after our interview with Christian from Morgon Coffee Roasters, during one of the last stages of the Belco Euro Tour.

Johan founded Gringo Nordic with his wife, Pernilla, and business partner Magnus in 2018 in Gothenburg. But his history with specialty coffee began much earlier! In 2004, he founded Johan & Nyström, Sweden's first specialty coffee roastery. After leaving the company, Johan decided to set up his own farm in Morales, Colombia: Finca La Tierra.

With such a wide range of experience, from production to roasting, Johan was a natural choice to discuss the future of specialty coffee!
