Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 102:2

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. -Hebrews 11:1

    DEVOTION
    Based on Hebrews 11
Faith gets defined, not by wishful thinking but substantial reality. 'Substance' means underlying reality—faith gives hopes solid foundation. 'Evidence' is proof, conviction—faith sees what eyes cannot. It's not believing despite evidence but seeing different evidence. Faith perceives spiritual reality as clearly as sight perceives physical. Hope isn't hollow when faith fills it. The unseen isn't unreal to believing eyes. Faith bridges the visible and invisible worlds.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: God of faith, You make the invisible more real than the visible. You give substance to hope and evidence to promises. I worship You, faithful Lord.

CONFESSION: I confess walking by sight instead of faith.

THANKSGIVING: Thank You for faith that sees beyond physical eyes.

SUPPLICATION: Strengthen my faith to see Your invisible realities today.

    PRAYER
In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired. My soul refused to be comforted.
    PSALM 102:2
Dear Everlasting Father, I know You listen even when I feel most alone. You bend Your ear down to hear my cries. You have kept every tear and attended to every complaint. Tonight I am grateful for a God who has not kept Himself distant and aloof. You have come near to me and considered my heart. As I unwind after a long day, I ask that You release me from loneliness and remind my heart that You are close. More than any family or friend, You completely understand me. You are acquainted with every weakness, sin, and shortcoming, yet love me anyways. You call me a friend, child, and co-heir in Christ despite my failures and flaws. What a wonderful thing it is to be completely known and wholly loved. Comfort me in Your warm and accepting embrace tonight, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen. 🙏🏾

Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Luke 16:25

Sharing our blessings is the surest way to multiply them.

FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: HUMILITY
Spend five minutes listening without interrupting or giving advice.

Today’s daily devotional highlights the story of the rich man and poor Lazarus. The rich man ignored the suffering of Lazarus, a beggar at his gate, and upon their deaths, Lazarus was comforted while the rich man suffered in Hades. Abraham reminded the rich man that God's Word was sufficient to guide his family, stressing the need to heed divine teachings.
    STORY
Bible in a Year: The Rich Glutton and Poor Lazarus
    Scripture
But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

    Luke 16:25
Have you ever seen someone in need and walked by without helping?

The story of the rich man and poor Lazarus, as told by Jesus, is a poignant reminder of the importance of generosity and compassion. The rich man lived in luxury, oblivious to the suffering of Lazarus, a beggar who lay at his gate, longing for scraps from the rich man's table. This story challenges us to examine our own lives and consider how we treat those who are less fortunate.

Do you find it difficult to share your blessings with others?

Jesus' parable underscores the consequences of selfishness and the rewards of compassion. Upon their deaths, Lazarus was carried by angels to Abraham's side, a place of comfort and joy, while the rich man found himself in Hades, tormented by thirst and regret. This stark contrast serves as a warning that our actions on earth have eternal consequences.

How often do you reflect on the needs of those around you?

The rich man’s plea for Lazarus to warn his family highlights the futility of ignoring God's Word. Abraham's response that they already have the Scriptures to guide them emphasizes the sufficiency of God's teachings. We are called to live out the principles of love and generosity that Jesus taught, recognizing that our wealth and resources are not just for our own comfort but for helping others.

What steps can you take to show greater compassion and generosity in your daily life?

Reflecting on this story, we are encouraged to open our eyes and hearts to the needs of those around us. By sharing our blessings and offering help to the less fortunate, we can make a significant impact and honor God's commandments.

    REFLECTION
Reflect on your own attitude towards wealth and generosity. Are there areas in your life where you can be more compassionate and giving?

Take time to pray and ask God to help you see opportunities to help those in need. Consider ways you can share your resources, whether through volunteering, donating, or simply offering a kind word or gesture to someone struggling.

    PRAYER
But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
    LUKE 16:25
When I look at everything You’ve blessed me with in my life Lord, I stand in awe and reverence at all the times You’ve come through for me and for all the times You’ve lavished me with provision. As I think about today's story from Luke I am reminded through the life of the rich glutton that the purpose for blessing us is to be a blessing to others. May my life be first known by my love for You God and second by the generosity I lived by. With every new year I will not ask how much I can make, I will ask instead how much I can give. With this paradigm shift I acknowledge that blessing and abundance are a byproduct of my generous heart. For the life of the stingy gets smaller and smaller while the life of the generous gets larger and larger! Because I am a change agent I am always in tune with the needs of Your children Lord, whether time, talents, or treasures, I will give where I can because You’ve blessed me so much! In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾

    Oct 5 2025
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 100:2

[[[A Psalm] of David.]] The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? -Psalms 27:1

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 27
David asks fear two questions it cannot answer. 'Light' dispels darkness of confusion; 'salvation' delivers from danger. 'Strength of my life' literally means 'fortress of my life.' With God as illumination, deliverance, and defense, fear becomes illogical. 'Whom shall I fear?' expects no answer because none exists. When the Lord fills all protective roles, threats shrink to their true size—nothing compared to God.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Lord God, You are my light in darkness, salvation in danger, strength in weakness. Fear has no answer to Your presence. I worship You, divine Protector.

CONFESSION: I confess fearing people and circumstances more than trusting You.

THANKSGIVING: Thank You for being all I need for fearless living.

SUPPLICATION: Be my light, salvation, and strength against today's fears.

    PRAYER
Serve the Lord with gladness. Come before his presence with singing.
    PSALM 100:2
Dear Lord, as I enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise, I seek Your divine rest. Your word says that we can do all things through You who strengthens us, but right now, my strength is failing me, and my soul yearns for rest. Lord, I thank You for all the blessings You have given me, and I bless Your name. I know You are a faithful God who never sleeps nor slumbers, and I trust Your unfailing love. Please grant me the rest that my body and soul need. May the peace of Your presence surround me, and may Your love and mercy fill me to overflowing. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. 🙏🏾

Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Matthew 17:27

The highest form of greatness is serving others selflessly.

FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: HUMILITY
Let someone else go first in traffic, in line, or in a conversation.

Today’s daily devotional focuses on Jesus providing for Peter’s taxes and teaching about true greatness and the importance of protecting children’s innocence. Jesus cared for Peter by instructing him on how to find the money needed for taxes. He later emphasized that greatness comes from serving others and issued a stern warning against harming children.
    STORY
Bible in a Year: The Tax and The Great Warning
    Scripture
And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

    Matthew 18:5-6
Have you ever been in a situation where you felt unprepared and worried about provision?

During tax season in Capernaum, Peter faced this very issue, finding himself without the money to pay his taxes. Yet, Jesus was not surprised. He provided for Peter in an extraordinary way, instructing him to find a coin in the mouth of a fish. This miracle showed Jesus’ intimate care and provision for His followers.

Do you trust that God will provide for your needs, even in unexpected ways?

Jesus’ care for Peter demonstrates His attentiveness to our needs. Later, as the disciples gathered for dinner, Jesus addressed their earlier argument about who was the greatest among them. Embarrassed and silent, they listened as Jesus redefined greatness. He taught that true greatness comes from humility and putting others' needs above our own.

How often do you seek to serve others rather than seeking your own recognition?

Jesus’ teaching emphasizes that greatness in His kingdom is marked by selflessness and humility. He also issued a stern warning about causing harm to children, highlighting the severe consequences for those who lead them astray. This underscores the value Jesus places on protecting and nurturing the innocent.

What steps can you take to embody humility and protect the vulnerable in your community?

Reflecting on this story, we are reminded of the importance of trusting in Jesus’ provision, serving others with humility, and safeguarding the innocence of children. By living out these principles, we can honor God and reflect His love to those around us.

    REFLECTION
Reflect on areas in your life where you need to trust God’s provision more fully. Are there opportunities to serve others selflessly that you might be overlooking?

Take time to pray for a heart of humility and a spirit of generosity, asking God to help you put others' needs above your own.

As you move forward this week, look for ways to protect and support the vulnerable, especially children.

    PRAYER
Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
    MATTHEW 17:27
When I get caught up in the race to determine who is greater, when the creature of comparison tries to creep into my everyday life I will remember Your words, Jesus, in Matthew 17, Mark 9 and Luke 9. Instead of fighting for who is going to be greater, my fight will be a personal one for how I'm going to serve others. You spoke and declared that the least shall be the greatest in Your Kingdom. You spoke and declared, Jesus, that the last shall be first and because it came from Your mouth I take this as truth. Through this truth, I can rest and know that just because it appears I'm in last place in my life, in my dreams and in my goals it doesn’t mean that that’s my final outcome. Through You God I acknowledge that in just 24 hours You can change everything, You can lift me to a place that no one saw coming because I’m focused on me and what I’m called to do. I pray that this mindset will reach the minds of our children so they won’t stumble and fall to the lie of comparing. Let them understand that the only comparison that matters is comparing our heart and actions with You Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾 ❤️

  • Episode 1484 - Jarvis Kingston Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Burst out and sing for joy, yes, sing praises! Psalm 98:4 YAH
    Oct 3 2025
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 98:4

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. -1 John 1:9

    DEVOTION
    Based on 1 John 1
God's response to confession is as certain as His character. 'If' introduces the single condition—honest confession. 'Faithful' means He keeps His promise; 'just' means Christ's payment satisfies justice. Forgiveness handles sin's penalty; cleansing handles sin's pollution. 'All unrighteousness' leaves nothing unaddressed. Confession isn't informing God but agreeing with Him. When we call sin what He calls it, He removes it completely. Clean slate, clean heart, clean conscience.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Faithful God, You forgive confessed sin completely. Your justice and mercy meet at the cross. I worship You, divine Forgiver.

CONFESSION: I confess these specific sins that weigh on my conscience [pause for personal confession].

THANKSGIVING: Thank You for faithful, just, complete forgiveness.

SUPPLICATION: Cleanse me from all unrighteousness as I confess today.

    PRAYER
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Burst out and sing for joy, yes, sing praises!
    PSALM 98:4
Dear God, I am reminded of Your greatness and power as I lay down to sleep. Just as the sea roars and everything in it sing Your praises, may my heart be filled with the same awe and wonder. Let the rivers of my soul clap their hands, and let my spirit sing for joy in Your Presence. Lord, I know You are coming to judge the earth with righteousness and equity, and I pray that my life reflects Your holiness when that day approaches. Help me to walk in Your ways and be faithful to Your commands from morning’s light to the fading gleam of night. Thank You for Your love and provision in my life. I commit everything to You tonight and always. In Jesus’ holy name, I pray, Amen. 🙏🏾

  • Episode 1483 - Jarvis Kingston And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light !
    Oct 2 2025
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Matthew 17:1-2

Transformation begins when we see Jesus for who He truly is.

FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: HUMILITY
Ask someone for help today, even in a small way.

Today’s daily devotional highlights Jesus' transfiguration. Taking Peter, James, and John up a mountain, Jesus revealed His divine glory, outshining even Moses and Elijah. This event affirmed Peter’s declaration that Jesus is the Son of God and showcased His unique divine identity.
    STORY
Bible in a Year: A Beautiful Transfiguration
    Scripture
While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

    Matthew 17:5
Have you ever experienced a moment that profoundly confirmed your faith?

The story of Jesus’ transfiguration is one such powerful moment for His disciples. Jesus took Peter, James, and John up a mountain, where He revealed a glimpse of His divine glory. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became dazzling white. This radiant transformation was a visual confirmation of His divine nature.

How do you respond when God reveals His glory in your life?

During the transfiguration, Moses and Elijah appeared with Jesus, symbolizing the Law and the Prophets. Yet, their presence paled in comparison to the glory of Jesus. This event underscored that Jesus is the fulfillment of both the Law and the Prophets, embodying the culmination of God's redemptive plan.

Have you ever felt awe and reverence in the presence of God's greatness?

Peter’s declaration that Jesus is the Son of God was affirmed by the transfiguration. The voice of God from the cloud saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him, I am well pleased. Listen to him!" confirmed Jesus’ divine sonship and His authority. This moment reinforced the disciples' faith and understanding of Jesus' true identity.

What steps can you take to deepen your understanding and experience of God's glory?

Reflecting on this story, we are encouraged to seek and recognize God's presence and glory in our lives. Jesus’ transfiguration not only revealed His divine nature but also reassured the disciples of His purpose and power. By staying close to Jesus and being attentive to His voice, we can experience the transformative power of His presence.

    REFLECTION
Consider the moments in your life where you have seen glimpses of God's glory. Are there areas where you need to listen more attentively to Jesus' teachings?

Take time to pray and seek a deeper revelation of His divine presence. Ask God to open your eyes to His glory and to strengthen your faith in His power and purpose.

As you go through your week, strive to recognize and honor God's presence in your daily life.

And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, -Matthew 17:1

And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. -Matthew 17:2

Like Peter, James. and John, I thank You Jesus that You are giving me uncommon access to understanding and experiencing You in new and powerful ways. I praise You for Your continued desire to take me higher and deeper into the things of the Lord. In the same way that You were transfigured, Jesus, I thank You that I am being transformed into the very likeness and image of You. In the same way our Heavenly Father validated Your purpose Jesus with John the Baptist, I also am recognizing the validation I have from You Lord to be seen and heard. Transform me from the inside out and let me bring others who are close to me in on the Journey of a transformed life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾

    Oct 2 2025
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 John 9:25

Spiritual vision brings clarity that the eyes cannot provide.

Today’s daily devotional focuses on Jesus healing a man born blind. The disciples assumed the man's blindness was due to sin, but Jesus clarified it was for God's glory. After being healed, the man bravely testified before the Pharisees, revealing their spiritual blindness.
    STORY
Bible in a Year: Blind at Birth
    Scripture
Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

    John 9:3
Have you ever faced a situation where others misunderstood your struggles?

In John 9, Jesus encounters a man who had been blind from birth. The disciples, reflecting common beliefs of the time, assumed his blindness was a punishment for sin. Jesus, however, corrected their misunderstanding, explaining that the man's condition was an opportunity to display God's power and works.

How often do you find yourself misjudging others' circumstances?

Jesus' healing of the blind man is a great demonstration of His power and compassion. After the miracle, the man was brought before the Pharisees, who were determined to discredit Jesus. Despite intense questioning, the healed man stood firm, declaring that only someone truly good could perform such a miracle. His bold testimony highlighted the Pharisees' spiritual blindness and their refusal to acknowledge the truth of Jesus' divinity.

Do you have the courage to stand firm in your faith, even when questioned or doubted by others?

The formerly blind man's unwavering stance before the Pharisees challenges us to examine our own faith and willingness to testify to God's work in our lives. His experience teaches us that physical sight is not as crucial as spiritual vision. Recognizing and proclaiming Jesus' work in our lives requires faith, courage, and the willingness to face opposition.

What can you do to strengthen your spiritual vision?

Reflecting on this story, we are encouraged to look beyond physical circumstances and see God's hand at work. Jesus calls us to understand deeper truths and stand firm in our faith, even when others question or misunderstand us. By doing so, we can help others see the light of Christ through our testimony and actions.

    REFLECTION
Reflect on areas in your life where you may be quick to judge others' struggles. Are there misconceptions or misunderstandings you need to address?

Take time to pray for spiritual insight and ask God to help you see His work in every situation. Embrace opportunities to testify to God's goodness, even when faced with doubt or opposition.

As you go about your week, strive to look beyond the surface and seek God's purpose in every circumstance.

FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: SELF-CONTROL

    PRAYER
He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
    JOHN 9:25
Jesus as You move in my life, I understand that there are people who are bent on trying to hold to my past condition. However, because it is You who has healed me and has transformed me I will stand boldly and proclaim Your truth even if it means I may be thrown out of certain circles and relationships. I declare that You came so that the blind can see and receive a new life. So that those who are focused on traditions will be silenced because You value faith, and a humble and contrite heart before pride and ego. Thank You for opening my eyes Jesus! Thank You for taking the time to sit and talk with me when I've felt thrown out and abandoned by those close to me. Through Your power Jesus I now walk with a new vision and a new outlook on life! I once was blind but now I see and I have You to thank for it Lord! In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾

    Sep 30 2025
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 95:6

The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. -Psalms 145:18

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 145
Proximity promised to prayers. 'Nigh' means near, close, intimate—God leans in when we call out. 'All them' excludes no sincere seeker. The condition is 'in truth'—genuine, honest, authentic calling. No pretense, no formulas, just real need meeting real God. He's not near to perfect prayers but true ones. Distance from God is never His doing. One truthful call closes any gap. The Lord of the universe draws near to honest hearts.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Near God, You draw close to every truthful call. Distance dissolves when sincerity speaks. I worship You, accessible Lord.

CONFESSION: I confess calling with pretense instead of truth.

THANKSGIVING: Thank You for being near to all who genuinely call.

SUPPLICATION: Draw near as I call on You in truth today.

    PRAYER
Oh come, let’s worship and bow down. Let’s kneel before the Lord, our Maker.
    PSALM 95:6
Dear Lord, tonight I want to take Your command to rest seriously. I want to resist the temptation to strive and work tirelessly without stopping. You offer peace to those who pause and refreshment to those who remain still in Your blessing. Put my restless mind at ease tonight. As I surrender to the gentle embrace of slumber, remind me that no worldly accomplishment is worth sacrificing my peace in You. I do not want to gain the world at the cost of my soul. Anchor me in that truth tonight, and usher me into a peaceful sleep. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen. 🙏🏾
