Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 51:10

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. -Psalms 126:5

He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. -Psalms 126:6

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 126
This promise transforms our perspective on painful seasons—tears become seeds, sorrow becomes sowing. The image is powerful: a farmer weeping as he scatters precious seed during famine, using grain that could feed his family today, trusting for tomorrow's harvest. "Shall doubtless come again" offers absolute assurance—not maybe, but definitely.

Our tears aren't wasted; they're watering future joy. Every prayer prayed through pain, every act of faith through heartache, every step of obedience through sorrow is planting for a coming harvest. God keeps careful record of our tears and promises they'll be transformed into rejoicing. Morning is coming, and it brings sheaves of blessing.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Faithful God, You are the Lord of the harvest who turns mourning into dancing. You store our tears and transform them into joy. Nothing is wasted in Your economy.

CONFESSION: I confess I often see only the tears, not the seeds. I've doubted that my pain has purpose or that joy could come from sorrow. I've questioned Your harvest timeline.

THANKSGIVING: Thank You that every tear is a seed of future joy. Thank You for promising a harvest when all I see is barren ground. Thank You that weeping endures only for a night.

SUPPLICATION: Lord, help me trust the process of sowing in tears. Give me faith to keep planting when I can't see results. Sustain me until the rejoicing comes and the harvest appears.

    PRAYER
Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.
    PSALM 51:10
God of mercy, the weight of shame is too heavy for me to bear. Unconfessed sin robs me of rest and rids me of peace. I confess my sin to You. Please take the burden of sin away from me. Restore my soul and remind me of Your mercy. There is no sacrifice You require from me or self-punishment worth pursuing. You desire a pure and contrite heart. You desire repentance. So here I am tonight, bowing my heart before You in reverence and repentance. Forgive me, God. I want to fall into a deep sleep with the safety of a bird under its mother’s wings. So cover me in Your grace and tuck me into bed with Your mercy. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾

Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Daniel 1:8

Standing firm in God’s principles influences others more than conforming to worldly standards.

Today’s daily devotional is based on the story of Daniel and his friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These young men, chosen from the Judaean captives, were brought to King Nebuchadnezzar's court to be trained in Babylonian ways. Despite the king's attempts to indoctrinate them, they remained faithful to God and demonstrated that following the Lord leads to true wisdom and flourishing.
    STORY
Bible in a Year: Daniel and the King's Men
    Scripture
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

    Daniel 1:8
Have you ever felt pressured to conform to the standards and expectations of those around you?

In Daniel 1:1-16, we encounter Daniel and his friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who were taken captive and brought to King Nebuchadnezzar’s court. Despite being in a foreign land and under immense pressure to conform, they remained steadfast in their faith.

What would you do in their situation? Would you hold onto your beliefs, or would you conform to fit in?

Daniel and his friends were offered the finest foods and wine from the king's table, yet they chose to follow God's dietary laws, requesting vegetables and water instead. Their decision seemed risky and could have led to dire consequences, but they trusted God. After ten days, they appeared healthier and more nourished than those who ate the king’s food. This miraculous outcome was a testament to their faith and God's faithfulness.

Are there areas in your life where you need to stand firm in your faith, even when it seems challenging?

Their commitment to God not only preserved their well-being but also set them apart as wise and knowledgeable men in the king's court. This story teaches us the importance of maintaining our integrity and faithfulness to God, regardless of external pressures.

How can you remain faithful to God's principles in your daily life? What steps can you take to influence others positively by your example?

In a world that often pressures us to conform, Daniel’s story encourages us to stand firm in our beliefs. By trusting in God and remaining faithful, we can impact those around us and demonstrate the true wisdom that comes from following Him.

    REFLECTION
Reflect on the pressures you face to conform to the world’s standards. Identify specific areas where you can stand firm in your faith, like Daniel and his friends.

This week, make a conscious effort to follow God’s principles in your actions and decisions, even when it's challenging.

Pray for strength and wisdom to remain faithful and be a positive influence on those around you.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: FAITHFULNESS
Write down one area of your life where you want to grow in faithfulness.

    PRAYER
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
    DANIEL 1:8
Lord, because my purpose means more to me than my comfort, I will be mindful to treat my body in a way that will allow me to carry out my mission while here on earth. Today, like Daniel and the young men, I am making a conscious decision to honor my body by not defiling it with food or substances that would stop me from experiencing the fullness of all You have in store for me. I thank You Lord for the will and the fortitude to stand strong when I’m tempted to choose the comfort of laziness and poor health habits. I declare that health is a top priority, I declare that through my decision to live a healthy lifestyle my mind will be sharper and more creative than ever before. I praise You and thank You in advance for uncommon outcomes and alliances that are working on my behalf to help realize the dreams and destiny You’ve placed on and in me. No matter what, I will not be ashamed of my acceleration because I've made the decision to honor my body which is the vehicle needed to take me to my future. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾

    Aug 15 2025
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 49:20

[[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.]] I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. -Psalms 40:1

He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. -Psalms 40:2

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 40
David’s testimony reminds us that waiting on God never wastes time. "Patiently" doesn’t mean passively—he cried out while he waited. God "inclined" to him, literally bent down to listen. The horrible pit and miry clay represent situations where our own efforts only sink us deeper. But God doesn’t just rescue; He establishes. He pulls us from the mud and plants us on solid rock.

He doesn’t just save us from something but to something—established goings, firm steps, a secure future. This passage promises that our pit isn’t our permanent address. God specializes in elevating the stuck, stabilizing the shaky, and establishing the uncertain.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Faithful God, You bend down to hear our cries. You are the lifter of the fallen, the establisher of the unstable, the rock beneath sinking feet.

CONFESSION: I confess my impatience in waiting and my attempts to escape pits through my own strength. I've doubted Your timing and questioned whether You hear my cries.

THANKSGIVING: Thank You for hearing every cry from every pit. Thank You for not leaving me in the miry clay of my mistakes. Thank You for solid rock beneath my feet and a sure path ahead.

SUPPLICATION: Lord, help me wait patiently for Your deliverance. When I'm stuck in pits of my own making, bend down and lift me. Establish my steps and make my path secure in You.

    PRAYER
A man who has riches without understanding, is like the animals that perish.
    PSALM 49:20
Heavenly Father, Holy God, and King of Glory, You hold justice and eternity in the palm of Your hands. There is no wealth I could accumulate to bring me peace or financial gain that would give me salvation. My soul is dependent on Your grace and Your grace alone. At night, worries about finances and security can consume me, but You are the only one who gives me safety in times of trouble. I do not rest tonight with peace in my finances but in Your faithfulness. There is no material possession I will carry with me into eternity. But the treasure I have in You will last forever. I rest in that truth tonight, Lord. In Your Holy and precious name, I pray, Amen. 🙏🏾

Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 48:1

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. -Psalms 23:4

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 23
David transforms the most terrifying journey into a declaration of fearless faith. Notice he walks THROUGH the valley, not TO it—valleys have exits. It's the "shadow" of death, not death itself—shadows can't hurt us. The secret to his courage? "Thou art WITH me."

God's presence changes everything. His rod protects us from predators; His staff pulls us from pitfalls. Both discipline and rescue flow from the same loving Shepherd. We find comfort not in the absence of valleys but in the presence of our Guide. This verse promises that our darkest paths are still under divine supervision. No valley is too deep, no shadow too dark for our Shepherd's reach.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Good Shepherd, You never leave or forsake Your sheep. You walk beside me in the darkest valleys, Your presence dispelling fear, Your strength becoming mine.

CONFESSION: I confess I fear the valleys and shadows. I've doubted Your presence in dark times and questioned Your protection when danger felt near. I've walked by sight, not faith.

THANKSGIVING: Thank You for never abandoning me in my valleys. Thank You for Your rod that protects and Your staff that guides. Thank You that no darkness can separate me from You.

SUPPLICATION: Lord, help me trust You in the shadows. When valleys come, remind me You're walking beside me. Let Your presence be my courage, and Your promises will be my comfort through every dark season.

    PRAYER
Great is The Lord, and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.
    PSALM 48:1
Dear God, place me tonight in Your perfect will. Take me to that mountain where streams of living water flow. Lay me down gently on a bed of grass and on a hill where I can behold Your glory upon the land. Take my hand, and lead me into peace. I want to gaze upon Your glory before I sleep. Give me a glimpse of Your plans for Your people. Show me a sliver of Your hope for the nations. I want to drift to bed with hope and faith in Your Kingdom. I want to rejoice in You, even when things seem dark because I know what the future holds. I know that there is a King who reigns with righteousness. He is the King of the universe and the bringer of peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾

    Aug 13 2025
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Ezekiel 37:5

Hope is never lost when God is involved.

Today’s daily devotional is based on the story of Ezekiel and the Valley of Dry Bones. Among the fields of Babylon, the prophet Ezekiel was given a vivid vision of a valley filled with dry bones. As the spirit of God rushed into the valley, the bones came to life and were restored, symbolizing God's promise to revive and unify His people.
    STORY
Bible in a Year: Valley of Dry Bones
    Scripture
Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live.

    Ezekiel 37:5
Have you ever felt like a situation in your life was beyond hope?

In Ezekiel 37, we see the prophet Ezekiel taken by God to a valley filled with dry bones. These bones represent the people of Israel who had lost their hope and felt spiritually dead. God asks Ezekiel, "Can these dry bones live?" This question challenges us to reflect on our faith in God's power to restore and renew.

Imagine walking through a valley of dry bones. It would seem impossible for life to return to such desolation. Yet, Ezekiel obeys God's command to prophesy to the bones. As he speaks God's words, the bones come together, flesh covers them, and they breathe again. This miraculous transformation is a powerful reminder that no matter how dire our circumstances, God's spirit can bring renewal.

What areas in your life feel like dry bones? Do you believe God can breathe new life into them?

God’s promise to Ezekiel was not just about physical restoration but also spiritual revival. He assured Ezekiel that He would bring His people back to their land and give them a new heart and spirit. This promise extends to us today. When we feel spiritually dry or disconnected, we can trust in God's power to renew our spirit.

How can you invite God to restore and revive your heart today? Are you open to the changes He wants to bring into your life?

In times of hopelessness, remember Ezekiel's vision. God is capable of bringing life to the lifeless and hope to the hopeless. Trust in His power and remain faithful in your journey, believing that He can transform any situation.

    REFLECTION
Reflect on the areas in your life where you feel spiritually dry or hopeless. Identify those 'dry bones' that need God's breath of life. Pray for His spirit to fill you anew, bringing restoration and hope.

Just as God promised to revive and reunite Israel, trust that He can restore your spirit and guide you toward renewal.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: FAITHFULNESS
Let someone else take credit for a shared win.

    PRAYER
Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
    EZEKIEL 37:5
Lord through the Power of Your Holy Spirit I will speak life into the dead dreams of others like Ezekiel 37. I will prophesy and speak the words of God over every person I see! May Your breath fill them with every ounce of hope needed for them to step into their God given identity. I decree and declare that through my life I will do everything in my power to help raise up an army of purpose filled people who will inspire others to live the life that You’ve created them to live. With this mindset as my anchor, I speak to every dead and forgotten dream in my life for You are alive! I declare that this will be a season of rebirth and newness, I declare that whatever and whoever I come in contact with will receive Your life giving power to accelerate and succeed. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾

  • Episode 1432 - Jarvis Kingston Lord, teach me to worship You in loss and in gain. Help me trust Your heart when I can't trace Your hand Amen
    Aug 12 2025
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 James 1:19

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, -Job 1:20

And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. -Job 1:21

In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. -Job 1:22

    DEVOTION
    Based on Job 1
In the worst moment of his life, Job teaches us that worship and grief can coexist. After losing everything—children, wealth, health—he doesn't pretend to be fine. He tears his robe, shaves his head, falls to the ground in anguish. But then comes the stunning response: he worships.

This isn't denial or fake faith but raw, honest devotion that says, "God, You're still God even in my devastation." Job shows us we don't have to choose between being real about our pain and being faithful to our God. Sometimes the most powerful worship comes through tears. When we worship in the valley, we declare that our faith isn't based on our circumstances but on God's character.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Sovereign Lord, You are worthy of worship in every season. You give and take away, yet Your name remains blessed. You are God in the storm and in the sunshine.

CONFESSION: I confess I often worship only when life is good. When trials come, I question Your goodness instead of trusting Your sovereignty—my faith wavers with my circumstances.

THANKSGIVING: Thank You for being unchanging when everything else shifts. Thank You for receiving our broken worship, our tears mixed with praise. Thank You for being bigger than our pain.

SUPPLICATION: Lord, teach me to worship You in loss and in gain. Help me trust Your heart when I can't trace Your hand. Give me Job's faith to bless Your name even when my heart is breaking.

    PRAYER
“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath”
    JAMES 1:19
Dear Heavenly Father, You are the keeper of wisdom, and no word You speak is ever wasted. You are intentional with Your words, attentive to our prayers, and patient with Your actions. I pray You would make me more like You. Reign in my tongue and keep me from saying things I will regret. Please give me an attentive ear to truly listen to those around me. And hold me back from acting out of anger. I trust that through the guidance of Your word, power of Your spirit, and comfort of Your love, I can truly heal my relationships. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾

    Aug 11 2025
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Philippians 2:3

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. -Proverbs 18:21

    DEVOTION
    Based on Proverbs 18
Words are weapons or medicine, poison or nourishment—we choose which every time we speak. Solomon reveals the terrifying and wonderful truth: our tongues hold the power of life and death. A sentence can destroy a reputation, crush a spirit, or end a relationship.

But that same tongue can speak hope to the hopeless, courage to the fearful, and love to the lonely. We eat the fruit of our words—bitter or sweet, we taste what we’ve sown. This proverb isn’t about positive thinking but recognizing words as spiritual forces. When we grasp this power, we become careful gardeners of our speech, planting seeds of life wherever we go.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Lord, Your words created galaxies and raised the dead. You speak, and darkness flees. Your words are spirit and life, never returning empty but accomplishing Your purposes.

CONFESSION: I confess I've used my tongue carelessly, speaking death through gossip, criticism, and harsh words. I’ve wounded those I love most with verbal arrows I can't take back.

THANKSGIVING: Thank You for speaking life over me when I deserved death. Thank You for Your Word that brings healing and hope. Thank you for forgiveness when my words have brought harm.

SUPPLICATION: Father, help me guard my tongue like a city gate. Make my words fountains of life, not poison. Give me wisdom to speak truth in love and courage to stay silent when silence is golden.

    PRAYER
“Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.”
    PHILIPPIANS 2:3
Dear Lord, You do not flaunt Your divinity or exploit us for selfish gain. You humbly served Your people even to the point of death on a cross! What a mysterious and wonderful truth that is. We have a God that bends down humbly to bless us, and laid down His own life to redeem us. I pray that You would give me the mind of Christ. I do not want to operate for my own glory and self-gratification. I want to humbly serve those around me and glorify You, oh Lord. Teach me every day how to emulate Your lowliness, and give me opportunities to exercise humility. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾

Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 John 10:10

God calls the unlikely so that His power can be undeniable.

Today’s daily devotional is based on the story of Jesus choosing the Twelve. After a night of prayer on a mountain, Jesus handpicks twelve ordinary men to walk closely with Him, learn from Him, and eventually continue His mission. These men included fishermen, a tax collector, and even a future traitor—none of whom seemed likely candidates for spiritual leadership.
    STORY
Heroes in the Bible: The Twelve
    Scripture
And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles.

    Luke 6:13
Have you ever felt unqualified for something God placed on your heart?

Jesus spent the night in prayer before choosing His twelve disciples—ordinary men with no fame, power, or religious pedigree. Some were fishermen, one was a tax collector, and another would one day betray Him. Yet, these were the men God entrusted to spread the Gospel. Why? Because God values availability over ability. This story tells us something vital: you don’t have to meet the world’s standards to be used by God.

What areas of your life have you ruled out as unusable to God?

When Jesus chose the twelve, He wasn’t picking a dream team by worldly standards. He was selecting hearts He could shape, minds He could renew, and lives He could send. We often disqualify ourselves before God even speaks, thinking we’re too broken, too unknown, or too ordinary. But it’s precisely those qualities that open space for God’s glory to shine through us. In God’s hands, ordinary becomes powerful.

Are you waiting to feel “ready” before stepping into your calling?

This story is also a call to action. Just like the disciples, we are called to follow first, then be transformed. Following Jesus may take you out of your comfort zone, but it will place you in the center of God’s will. The Twelve remind us that anyone—yes, anyone—can be used by God if they’re willing to follow Him fully.

What does saying “yes” to Jesus look like in your life today?

    REFLECTION
Look at your life through the lens of God’s calling, not the world’s expectations. Are you hesitating to say yes because you think you’re not ready or worthy? Stop measuring your purpose by your past. Start asking God how He wants to use your life today. Whether it’s reaching out to someone in need, serving in your local church, or being a voice of encouragement, your obedience can make a lasting impact.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: FAITHFULNESS
Encourage someone who's faithfully serving in ministry, work, or family.

    PRAYER
The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
    JOHN 10:10
Father, please remind me of the dreams You have placed in my heart. Just as Ezekiel spoke to the dry bones, I speak to all the dreams that have died too soon, and I declare that today is the day they will be resurrected. Today they will be restored. Dead visions, dead strategies, and dead alliances must also be brought back to life. You are making everything new, God, and my greatest days are still ahead of me. I won’t settle for anything less than Your best for me. Father, my weapons of war are not carnal—not physical—but spiritual and supernatural. They are powerful in Your hands, capable of destroying all strongholds. I remind principalities and powers that they have no right to interfere with my life, because I am covered by Your covenant. I belong to You. You have made me “more a conqueror” — a mighty warrior in You. Every tongue that speaks lies will be silenced, and Your Truth will be revealed. I know that the enemy of my soul tries to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to give me life—abundant life in Him. I choose to live that abundant life today. Thank You, God, that I am experiencing that abundant life even now—and so is everyone connected to me. It’s a done deal. Amen. 🙏🏾
