As a proud Jamaican-born woman, I’ve seen both the beauty and the hardship of our island home. Years ago, after losing everything in a storm, I experienced firsthand the pain of starting over with nothing but hope. That experience changed me — it taught me resilience, gratitude, and the power of helping hands.

Today, my husband and I are blessed to give back through The Sember Foundation, our new non-profit dedicated to health, healing, and human welfare. Together with our family businesses, Meobachi and OWLINC Transportation, we’ve come together to launch this first relief drive for the people of Jamaica affected by devastating storms and displacement.
This mission is deeply personal. I remember what it felt like to be in their shoes — to wonder if help would come. Now, I want to be that help for someone else.

Our goal is simple but powerful: to provide immediate relief, support rebuilding efforts, and promote long-term wellness for those most in need. This initiative marks the beginning of a movement — one built on faith, compassion, and community.

We may be a new foundation, but our heart is strong, and our purpose is clear. Together, we can turn pain into possibility and restore hope for families across Jamaica and beyond.
