  • Soul Bond-ing: A James Bond Retrospective (ft. Eric)
    Mar 15 2025

The name's Bond...James Bond...but there was also that one time it was also "George...George Lazenby"; But we don't talk about that one. For over 60 years, the icon of the silver screen has been on numerous adventures (and women...so...many...women) all around the globe with each iteration of the character making an impact on us as an audience. We're discussing his impact on movies, other media, and pop culture as we are joined in studio by Eric! Who was our favorite actor to portray the agent with a license to kill? What were some of our favorite villains? What do we want out of the next iteration of the character? So join us as we look back on the smoothest character to go from a book to a movie to video game (yes we know Goldeneye wasn't the only movie in the series but it's the only one that matters) on this new installment of It Was Mooney! Shaken, not stirred.

  • Style Over Substance: The Substance (2024) Review
    Mar 7 2025

They say beauty is only skin deep. Sure. But what if you could bottle it and sell it to anyone willing to pay the price…..oh and the price is your eventual gruesome death. Gotta read those terms and conditions, folks. We saw the Oscar-nominated film The Substance, starring Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley and directed by Coralie Fargeat. What were our overall thoughts? Is Demi Moore a shoo-in for the Oscar? Just how much shrimp did Dennis Quaid eat while filming this movie, and why is it gross? Also, at the behest of our overlord Mark “The Cuck” Zuckerberg (the nickname was, oddly enough, his idea), we’re getting some much needed, feminine energy up in here as we welcome first-time guest Jackie Legs to the show! We’re all dolled up for the big show, so join us for all the Cronenberg references you can handle on this episode of It Was Mooney!

  • Mooney's Mini Bites: Helly Gets Jelly (Severance Season 2 Ep. 6 "Atilla" Review)
    Feb 28 2025

On this episode, we're riding the Severance hype train until the Lumen-y drenched wheels fall off as we review the 6th episode of the second season of the hit Apple TV+ series titled "Atilla". We’ll give our thoughts on what felt like a "breather" episode after the wildness of last week's, as it gave us plenty to theorize and speculate on. Why is Helly so jelly? And yes, we know it rhymes. How long will Mr. Milkshake (actual name) put up with Lumen's increased demands of him? Plus, are Burt and Irving the best "it couple" since Bert and Ernie? Their adorable pet name for each other certainly does make a case. So join us once again as we delve into a series that is sweeping the nation one paper clip at a time in this latest installment of Mooney's Mini Bites!
